It actually depends on your sub class. If you are Warlock sub, I'd say go ahead and go with Robe. If you are Cleric, go with light armor. If you are anything else, like bard (ew lol) or rogue, then go for heavy armor. Im voting for light armor as there is more Cleric warriors than anything else.

magic hurts alot, and higher lvl parties you'll be grinding on mobs that have magic dmg and robes makes them easier to tank, and it makes them able to tank more in pvp since most people deal magic damage

My simple opinion. Treat a warrior the same way you treat a blader. They have a high phy defense already, why sacrifice low magical defense to increase it? Chuck on some robes if possible and cover your weaknesses. Also if your warlock or cleric subbed it helps with the mana consumption.
Although it's nice to have a HA set as well, just incase you have some prearranged fights against other warriors. A set of both go well. Though robes first in my opinion.

Either two +4/5 HA and Robe sets, or one +5/6 LA set.

Me personally never pvping with skin unless snowshield/bless/zerk/skins etc. are used by an opponent, it becomes tough to pvp str chars. making two sets , both 84-88 with a 90 chest, one HA one robe, i can pvp anyone I want. In group I just wear the robes, since cleric buffs take away a lot of dmg.

Rogue/Cleric in LA, 89/90 stuff. If I buff myself with the phy/mag cleric buffs, and the glory armor passives, and healing orbit...I'm essentially unkillable.
HA: Ints can still give you trouble with skins Prot:Owns with skins, fails w/o. Unless you got a godly set. Robe: Bladers will kill you. hard.

What I did is.. pimped 2 sets. Got my Super mega ultra 61% + on all whites with 89 legs +5 Light Armor set which is only used when Im aiming for absolute pwnage, and got my Robe +4/5 medicore se t with maxed blues and some average %s which is used when I'm on a trade with a big group, when Im being cleric.. since I got most of the healing stuff on or just chasing some fucker.
I'd pick Light Armor over Robe though, because of the cleric sub. Still.. Robe is a damn great thing to have.. it look good too.
