Not so much with the death knight. Are you a caster class by any chance? if so of course you're gonna think they're OP. They're caster counters afterall.

140 pages, no way I'm going back to check and see if this was asked/answered. I recently started playing, friends told me about http://www.curse.com and the add-ons seem great. Got cartographer and Quest helper so far. Any other recommended add-on?

I don't think there's any recommended beyond that, everything else is just personal preference. Like I have unit frames, damage meters, threat meters, chat mods and a few other little bits and bobs on top. Just look around and see what you like. Did Battle for the Undercity last night. Didn't feel as awesome as I thought it would. Probably because my pet doesn't get the mega buffs. =[ Loved the cinematic even more in full screen though. =D

Default chat is everything in one text box right? I'm assuming one of your chat mods splits the "Talking chat" and "combat/action etc.."?

Anyways, I don't know what level you are, but when you get to 3/4x a threat meter is a pretty good idea, when you do instances. And try Questhelper, it will speed up your leveling. It's an addon that shows on your minimap where every quest is etc. What class you playing?

Got cartographer and Quest helper so far. Any other recommended add-on? I suggest you get AtlasLoot as well. This is an addon that has all the loot from the dungeons, pvp rewards+costs, faction reputation rewards, crafting recipes. It has a lot and it's a great tool to find out where items are found or just checking what you could get from a dungeon run. If you have a gather profession, mining or herbalism, I also highly recommend Gatherer. This is is a mod that displays all the gathering locations of herbs/mining nodes on your minimap and/or world map. You can quickly turn it off as well, as it can clutter your maps. I also use Quartz which is a (imo) way better castbar than the regular blizzard castbar. It has loads of customization options. What I like best is the ability to shape the castbars. I like to have very big target castbars and focus castbars for arenas. If you're gonna do arena I also highly recommend Proximo. This is a mod that puts all your opponents' names in a small box on your screen. You'll quickly see against which comp you're against and it allows for easy selecting of targets. Those are all the addons I use. I use everything else stock.

@joey, some of my favorites are, aloft-if you use red/blue bars over friends/foes, it makes them look better. minimap button frame-gathers all of your addon buttons that surround the minimap and puts them into a dragable square. chinchilla-mods your minimap. lets you drag it, change the shape/color/style. bagnon-shows all of your bags as one bag, and allows you to search for items. dag assist-good for mages and professions, a little addon button that lists certain ports/professions. dominos-lets you mod the default UI, such as bars, cast bars, class icons ect. also lets you move them, or hide them while still using them. drdamage-puts a tooltip under damage skills showing valuable information mikscrollingbattletext-scrolling combat text that shows you damage/heals in and out. allows you to move the scrolling areas. rating buster-when comparing gear, it shows what you lose/gain when you hover over certain gear. prat- a chat mod that colors players names according to their class.

I like Cartographer. By the way, is there a way to get the skeleton horse mount? It looks so cool.

Get a cooldown tracker, doesn't matter which one; saves a lot of head scratching and corpse runs.

after playing a dk to 70 idk whether i want to play him anymore i've never played a class where you have to "generate" points like rune power or warriors rage whatever. I just don't like it. I hate having to apply diseases then use the stronger attacks.. and having to wait for runes to come up... you eventually are just in a rotation of skills and you hope you don't get parried or whatev. also i don't like being constricted to such a small range from the mob. Oh well, it was fun to try out mele.
Eh i mean it's still fun i just don't think i can stand playing it as a main.
I wish they would release a "hero" healing class.
