I'm just level 64 right now and I
never bought gold. Ever heard of economy? I guess not. I'll tell you about it. So, having some gold, go buy some items that you see are selling cheap. Pimp them up a bit and sell them expensive. Never NPC your drops. Stall them for a price you think is right till you sell them. That's how you make gold, so stop whining. Learn to make money or gtfo of this discussion.
