Its still disrespectful, no matter how much you hate him or how much wrong he has done. And it isn't as if Bush's 8 years as President was a total failure (although many of us believe so). Bush is still President of the world's most powerful country...the least you can do is show him a little respect. That man who threw the shoe didn't make Bush a dog...it made himself and his country the dog. How embarassing. There's a reason why America and Iraq are on the opposite ends of the political and technological spectrum.

Small point I want to make - reaction times of Bush's SS bodyguards were very slow. Meaning that two shoes were thrown in succession, yet no SS made a move to properly cover the President/block the shoes. If it had been something otherwise than a shoe, Bush and al-Maliki could have been in far serious danger.
