I don't like it. Some builds are meant to ks. Hence int builds always lvled up faster. Luring mobs to kill bots would be harder since the bots would have to want to help you >_>. I dunno. I think it's good the way it is. If you keep getting ks-ed, move on. Everyone has plenty of grind spots except penons and ongs, and even than it opens up pretty often.

maybe they can use Deco's system. After a certain amount of dmg has been done, anyone else who attacks the mob gets nothing and only helps the person who they were trying to KS

all you would have to do is have a help option to click on clicking on it would put a siganl above your head like that annoying orange ? above your head, and would allow anyone to attack the mob you are attacking as for those who can handle more mobs they could have a limit of say 4 or so while solo and maybe unlimited while in a party is present (within a certain range) uniques would be immune to the need, or it could come into effect if someone does like 10 hits to it without anyone else doing any also if you die or go out of range of the mob or say 3 or 4 seconds go by without you attacking then the mob becomes available to someone else to attack im sorry if someone else had these ideas in this post, (i didnt read them first before posting, lol)

Why would anyone want to change that ??

Why would anyone want to change that ?? Because people don't want to be bothered with trying to get rid of their murder status. You're still getting penalized as it is, trying to avoid getting killed by someone and dropping your gear before getting back to town or grinding off your murder. Alternatively, they could keep it as it is and change the PK system instead.

wont work for sro... ppl are killing mobs in 1 or 2 hits anyway so that would make it a race and the one with the fastest attacks (wizard..) would get the kill after all

Or they could try to do something similar like the Tag System from WoW. As far as I know, you tag a mob as soon as you damage it and people who are not in your party are able to damage and kill it but they have no access towards the EXP and loot. People or bots would definitely stop KSing since he or she is still able to damage the mob while not getting anything from it, meaning wasting your own time for other people's gain.

this is a bad idea one good thing about SRO is that it has that "do whatever you feel like" feel to it and if this was implemented it would feel confined and yes I know its ancient
