Does anyone know what you do with the runes, idk its not the ones that goes into the slots in gear. You cant do anything with them directly... they are called production runes, like link and disenchant. I have no idea if i should keep these or sell them.

Production runes are used in crafting, while the other ones are for upgrading. You can keep a stack of production runes incase you ever need them and sell the rest, but you will never have enough storage to keep all of them. As for the upgrading runes, keep only the ones you intend to use (the good ones, like magical damage if your a mage). Or even, i've thrown out every tier 1 rune that i've found. You change armors so often, and the bonuses are so small, that it's not even really worth keeping.

I suggest to keep ALL the runes if you are planning to play this game for a while or even pass lvl30. Runes in tier 1 can be combined to create another type of rune. For example, you can fuse vitality 1 and resistance 1 to get power 1 (will give you 3+ strength), or fuse quicknesss 1 and power 1 to obtain resistance (will give you 3+ stamina). There are a LOT of combinations, I have obtained at least 50 so far.

Furthermore, you could combine runes of tier 1 to obtain tier 2 (5 from tier 1 to obtain 1 from tier 2).

BTW, you do all this by transmuting the runes.

I'd suggest hardcore players that are lvl20+ to get Mana Stones by buying power stones in Varana and combining them with gears or weapon. Then use mana stone to add it to your main weapon and ultimately you will have a veru nice weapon with 6 green stats and if you have luck a couple of stars. This is also done using trasmutation. This will cost you around 4k, to upgrade the weapon, but it is welll worth it.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Happy Crafting!

Let's not forget the rune drop rate does not change, and you get the right tiered runes when you level.

True, drop rate doesn't change. But at higher lvls almost at every new weapon you will want to pimp it, and not only weapon but every single other piece of equipment. And sometimes you might wanna add for example Physical attack or Magical attack or Stamina, or w/e and you might not have enough of that specific rune at that tier. So you could combine some runes and make the one you need.

Also, you could pimp some stuff and sell them. My blacksmith and armoring are both lvl14 atm and I'm using some runes on the stuff I make and put them on the AH. Selling here and there gets you a lot of profit especially when buyers look for stuff that have greet stats with stars (just like sro, people look for at least +3 and some blues).

I guess you could sell them now, and if needed in the future just buy them. But the problem I see with this is that they might be expensive. The cap is 50/50; it isn't really that high. People will cap fast and crafting will be the next thing they do (so runes on the market might be rare) Improving their gears and selling some. I strongly believe people can be capped in about 1.5 months or even less. Highest char in Osha is around lvl35/35, I think.

PS: I accidentaly replied this to dom instead of posting it... so dom :P lol

Shizuru/Sn4ke_ got ganked like half an hour ago. It was fun.

Found the mage, killed him 4 times, I think Sn4ke got him once. Then him and his rogue friend tried jumping me twice, killed both of them both times. Then killed them both at spawn. Rogue hid and ran away, mage refuses to respawn.

Thanks for the info on the runes guys. IGN is Narcissus btw. Game is fun, even though i haven't been doing any party fights. Not sure if many would want a warrior/priest. But i like being able to hold my on in normal grinding.

Hey guys :)

I've temporarily quit WoW, because it slowly started to consume my life. I've decided to step out before it gets worse. My soon-to-be job won't allow me to play that much anyway (Raiding that is from 6 pm till 11 or so). So yea, basically stepped out for now, and see what life brings at the moment. Some changes incoming to improve it :D

Anyway, reason for this post is because this game looks very promising, however the fact that it's f2p really really scares me off *thinks of SRO and compares to p2p games*.

I'd like to get a detailed opinion off some one here who followed the developing and played the game for a while.

I'm looking for a new game really, not to fill some time but to go far into, and this looks like a nice game that can fit my style. I've seen all the WoW content and the habits and WoW-things are coming out my neck, I've had it with that game.

Thanks :)

Well, basically this game is a WoW clone. It's free and fun. You have to do quests though or it'll take you forever to level. It took me about a hour to get the basics but I'm still learning. Dom is really experienced though as I am in the same guild as him.

Started downloading after my post (2 posts up), am at 30% now with a nice 600 kb/s :)

Have read all the pages on here, and it seems good. I'm defenitely going to try this game for a couple of days. The posts in this topic saying this game has some stuff from WoW in it, really made me curious of RoM now :D

Anyway, still looking for some details, I think I want a mage/priest. Can I level with mage as my main, and keep priest backing up, and then swap priest to main at cap? Or will I have wasted too many points in mage which made it impossible to get a good priest spec? I think that's how it works, just making sure. A scout with something sounds good aswell, something melee. I could stack the same stats for that (right?).

Oh and, I will be on the EU servers, whom here is on the PvE and who on the PvP?

Ty :)

Edit: Mega stoked about this game!!! Can't bloody wait. Player Housing, Auction House, Dungeons, Party bosses (quests), can't wait!
Edit2: Gonna go with a melee class as main. Not a rogue, I despise rogues :P That leaves knights...

It is possible to swap your primary and secondary classes, so you should be able to. You can do it only in your house though (at least that I know of).

Haha, just found this on their website as I'm reading through all the information.

For the (ex) wow players, this will be extra funny :D

"Scouts and Rouges prefer more flexible leather armor ...."

Now that I've read through all the info on the website, it seems that a lot of the things in RoM come directly from WoW. However, I refuse to say "OMG RIPOFF!!!" Why? Because WoW is more then a simple game like any other, WoW is a milestone in the game-world, hell I would describe it as something 3 times bigger then that. It has set a "standard" for many things IMO. And other games can't just NOT copy it, it's impossible and that's how I think about it.
This is from what I can tell so far btw.. haven't been in game yet.

Download at 82%. Almost ready to start patching --> playing! :D

Think I might go to bed now though, because I know that if I try it now, I might have to pull an all nighter due to the glued-to-the-monitor-syndrom I sometimes have :P

Does anyone know why I keep getting the client.exe application error everytime I try to start the game up? It's getting really annoying because everytime I want to play it I have to uninstall it, then reinstall it. Does anyone know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated. I run a Windows XP if that helps

This is the error:
