That's really odd.. first thing I've ever heard bad about newegg, usually their customer support is awesome.
I love that site.. it's the best and cheapest place to buy pc shit. Also the reviews are very informative to help you pick out what you're looking for, rofl @ amazon > newegg.
I've ordered from them multiple times, only had to actually phone them once for a DOA psu (probably died through shipping.. beatup box, fck ups.) took less than 5 minutes on the phone and they gave a 100% refund, no restocking fee or anything. Love em. In fact, I just ordered an antec 900 case, 320gb harddrive and a sunbeam core contact freezer CPU heatsink last night.

Even if you do carry out a law suit, the buffer period to render products and services is so long that they could hold onto your money forever, credit it back to you at the very end, and keep a portion of that money in fees that they could have waived if you were nicer. When you need something done you need the people that are able to do things to be on your side. You need to be direct, efficient, polite, and persistent. You ask for something to be done, you make sure they CC you and document; you also document everything yourself (names, times, durations), notify them and every time you call you should bring up the material you documented. You don't tell them to do something or else, you make them feel obligated to see your issue to the end.

You don't tell them to do something or else, you make them feel obligated to see your issue to the end. Yes, you be nice to the people who just took 300 of your hard-earned dollars. Personally, I don't give a shit who you are. If it's your job to sort this kind of thing out you sort it out. I don't need to talk like I'm asking you for a favor.

Then i'm going to say I can't find your order, and to properly help you i'm going to ask you to mail or fax us a copy of your credit card statement and wait 2-3 weeks for processing. If you call before then i'll tell you it's processing, if you call after, that it's under invetigation by our credit team. After a month of so i'll say that I can't find the case and that we may have lost it. Because it's a fraud case, i'll tell you we are obligated to look into it properly and that I will open a case with our credit team and that you will be notified by e-mail once we have more information.

You don't tell them to do something or else, you make them feel obligated to see your issue to the end. Which in turn and depending on the situation might be disastrous. While showing some restraint and tact might get you much further. Yes! That's the best and smartest way to do it. Well said.

Not to mention that they can justify taking time to protecting their consumers from fraud. You would not be able to take them to court for a long time.
