Looks almost like Star Ocean to me. Don't think that's it though, don't remember anything like whatever is on the right side of the screen.

So my pre-order finally shipped in. After playing for 2+ hours my conclusion is:
-Great game -Camera control is pretty shitty when you're in the field -You only get a mini map AND NOTHING ELSE; so you get fucking lost every 5 minutes unless you have photographic memory. -The mini map comes with a compass that points north AND NOTHING ELSE; so theres no "objective arrow" or anything that gives you a fucking hint of where to go.

Bump. Okay so my guide just came in last night. Only then do I discover that I can access the area map by pressing START! However, my money didn't go to nothing, the guide has a map of where all the treasure chests are, a list of achievements/trophies in the game, and all the other shit a guide would have; so everything negative I said about this game, I take back, except for the camera angles when you're in the field.

GameFAQ's works too >.> Still, I'd get this game in a heartbeat if I played rpg's again T~T Personal 3 Persona FES Personal 4 Eternal Sonata Infinite Undiscovery Lost Odyssey Last Remnant(sp) All untouched u_u There's more I can't think of too lol I've been wanting to "get back into" rpg's but I just can't seem to do it =/

I hate using "just-text" guides. Like honestly, the guide I bought (one from Brady Games, where else? ) is so good. It was definitely worth the 20$. Anyways, i've played the game more (still haven't finished disk 1 yet) and..well the camera angles aren't that bad .

Just got this(and pre-ordered Prototype ). Fun fun game! If you're an Rpg or Square Enix fan, I highly recommend this game. Even if you're not, it's a fun game. I'm playing on the medium difficulty and battling can be pretty rough at times(i'm getting used to it). Only complaints are the camera, and the fact that the story is very bland right now(I just started yesterday.) Other than that it's great!

Oh trust me, you wont know bland until you hit that main-character-depression-phase part like in all other Square Enix games. What part are you at?

I see..well you'll get your second monster jewel soon if you didn't get it already. The little thieve guys will give you +15% Fol after each battle if you use the monster jewel on it, but the scumbag thieves will have to be 100% in your monster collection for the monster jewel to work.

Mmmmmk....sorry is just starting to kick up, common of Square Enix. Their stories take a while, and go through the bad phases(main hero QQ part) but they always(so far in every SE RPG game i've played)end with an amazing story. i'm at the part when...
