But what will you do when you run out of fuel in those?
All you people be hating on knifes, well let me ask you this then.
For some reason your inside, idk and office block or apartment, and you go around the corner and the zombie is RIGHT up in your face, now any rifle is useless as you cant rise it up, but with a knife all you have to do is stab either under the chin (into the head) of through the side of the head.
You can shoot from the hip you know. Anything that close is as easy to hit as just simply pulling the trigger.
But unless your gun is already facing upward, how can you shot them in the head if your weapon is at your hip?

you kind of need to stop talking.

sat by the way stabbing the brain wont kill the zombie you need to DESTROY the brain to kill the zombie only way to do that with a knife is stabbing it in the brain stem then it wont be able to do anything. helis do work if you use them right and you want a semi auto rifle over an auto because you will waste rounds and such

You get up close and use some fancy blader moves to finish them off in great style!

Weapon 1. Nail gun. [color=#FF0000]Might work, but i highly doubt you'll have the aim to hit a spot that will actually destroy the brain. 2. Supersoaker filled with mace. Who you gonna mace? Other humans? Zombies feel no pain and don't need eyes to know where they're going. 3. Compound bow. Hope you the skills for that. 4. Figure out how to turn my LCD TV into a portable shield-like taser. Might not work, the body isn't living so therefore the nervous system may not even be effected by it. 5. Watch old episodes of Man vs. Wild and Survivorman and head into the wilderness where there are less people. Maybe find some survivors there. Sounds fun.
Vehicle Silence PT2. Body covered with plastic with grease on it and twheel tires. You won't be able to recharge it. No one will be around to maintain the power supply. Also it's going to be hard to maintain the vehicle itself. The twheel is very loud, might not be the best choice.

Seems that in most movies and games a bullet to the head kills the zombie regardless of the calibur of round that is fired. I think a nail into the brain should be good enough and my ammunition is plentiful so I'm free to fire off as many shots as I like.
You don't have to feel pain in order for mace to irritate the eyes. I don't know about the need no eyes thing...
If they're nervous system wasn't working they wouldn't be able to move. Maybe they have dead pain receptors or something but for the most part I'm sure they have a working nervous system. Not to mention the brain is controlled by electrical impulses so I don't understand how a bullet to the head kills them if their nervous system is already not functional.
I doubt the power would go out everywhere so recharging it might not even be an issue. I'm pretty sure the infestation would be over long before the power supply fails. Maintaining the vehicle is also not an issue. I just have to make it to the wilderness and I won't need it again. And even so, it's post-apocalyptic. I'm free to take any car on the rode I see.
I don't think zombies can swim. The survivors can start a floating village.
Spoiler!

They can feel pain, but dont react to it, well it seems that way. The only organ that the zombies seem to use is the brain, as even a head (just a zombie head) still moves and such. If you go for the "virus" or "classic" zombie then damaging (i.e shoting or stabbing or bludening) the brain stops them because the virus is working from the brain and regardless zombie or not, destroy the central nervus system of any creature and it stops. For zombies, fast or slow the nervous system does work but at such a low level that only basic abilities can be carried out, hence slow walking, moaning and inability to climb, talk, write or carry out simple motor-neural activities. I think its right what you are saying Realest, dead pain receptors and low brain activity means they can carry on going, missing legs, arms half a body they dont stop.
Also i think things like power and electricty would go out, If its a bad enough infection (say 40% to 60% zombified) then i doubt workers will stay at their respective power or water plants and keep on working (unless they can be guarded with a large enough force.)
zombies can't swim but they can kick there legs and move in a general direction, dead bodies float.
I dont think zombies would float, because the trapped gases in human dead bodys that let us float wouldn't stay in zombie bodys, Keep in mind because of the very nature of a zombie they can "survive" for about 5-6 years before they fully rot away, as such i would guess they sink like a stone...think Land of the Dead, when the horde of zombies walks across the river (by water into the water, across the bottom and back upagain)

It's a dead body basically, it should only last until it's completely dried up or rotted away which I don't think would take years or so, and it wouldn't last through a winter i'm sure, depending on where they are I guess.
Zombies are reanimated corpses by a virus or somethin like that right? It's still a corpse, and can only function as long as the signals from the brain can travel to the parts of the body, and I don't think a corpse would last to long to allow that really.

Yea but you have to keep in mind that because of the virus the zombie flesh/ body is highly contaminated, deadly to humans and all other animals and life so i guess flys/maggorts and the normal bacteria that eat and help decompose a normally dead body wouldn't be able to do so on a zombie (they eat the flesh and die). So maybe they would last longer, also i guess a winter or somewhere cold a zombie would rot faster due to the moister, but some where hot and humid (desert / arid land) they could and i think would last much much longer

Even if thats the case and bacteria/insects don't effect it, its still gonna dry up well before years.
I think things decompose faster in warmer weather, but in a winter cold enough it would freeze, literally lol.

Yes but if dead bodies turn into zombies, the bodies' brain would've stopped already and literally dead. How would the virus get it to work again? And why in holy hell should it only make it intelligent enough to walk and moan? Afawk the virus could pretty much get the brain to work perfectly, just like a regular human but with an unresistible need to feed on fresh and tasty flesh.
I mean people could stay here arguing over and over but if a zombie apocalypse really happened there is like 99% probability that it wouldn't be anything similar to the movies/games we've watched/played.
