The new trailer comes out, and it is not a teaser. I keep reading more and more about this game, and it sounds even better than CoD4. There are scans of the articles out there, and trust me, there is no reason to be mad.

Who else is ready for 11.10.09

discuss.

just bought cod w@w a week ago and I absolutely love it. Was thinking about getting cod4 also, but maybe I'll wait and see how this one turns out.

That's a shame. If you like W@W, then you would be blown away by Cod4. Im sorry but to me there isn't a comparison. I like WaW, but they are different games.

Same engine, same mechanics, same game modes...

Different guns, different maps...

Sounds like they skinned COD4 to me.

Diff. guns makes a big difference to me.
Diff. maps doesn't make much of a diff. but I felt the maps in Cod 4 could have had more of an urban combat type feeling.
For me the fact that the guns are diff. is what makes it Modern.
And hopefully the maps in Modern warfare 2 are more urban.

The thing I hated about WaW was the bolt rifles without a scope were considerably less powerful than those with a scope. Plus with all of the 1000 exp per kill servers everyone mg whores to level up faster.

I agree. Typically we don't want world war 2 games to be modern. Kind of makes sense that chose that direction when making a WW2 mod for COD.

Oh I almost forgot, the game modes are not all the same. CoD4 does not have CTF.

Congrats on affirming that WAW has all of the same game modes as COD4.

My point was that there are more game modes for WaW online, meaning that it is not the same as CoD4. Smart-ass.

No. Your point was that the only difference in game modes is that they have added a "capture the flag" mode, which is never played, and only further proves that CODWAW is closer to being an expansion than a completely different game.

I don't remember claiming that I thought WaW wasn't more of a reskin than an actual new game. I was simply stating that they brought back CTF. They also brought back War from CoD3.

I agree with you, it is more of an expansion that a new game. They also expanded the game modes.

I apologize, I thought you were the guy I quoted in my first reply.

I personally like WWII games. W@W > MW in my own opinion.

Honestly the graphics and guns killed it for me. CoD4 felt so smooth game play wise, but WaW I feel like I'm some awkward hunchback trying to tromp around everywhere.

I liked how you couldn't jump over a short grass to take cover in codwaw.

Don't ruin a topic about the WaW and MW. WaW is a different game, it is a fact. They have similarities, but there are key things that do make them very different. WWII has been milked to its fullest, I don't know how you can make a game about WWII without making the exact copy of another game.

On topic:

Awesome trailer

Dom, weapons are balanced differently between the two games and W@W has shitty vehicle implementation. Sure, it (W@W) uses the same engine as CoD4, but lots of stuff has been changed more than just a "reskin".

Looking forward to this.

I had COD4 but my bitchy 360 burned it. :(

Then I bought WaW, it's just not the same thing. I get much more pleasure off the AK than from the shitty MP40 Al-Mighty-Raper.

COD World at War wasn't even made by activision :)

For sure Modern Warfare 2 will be great. Even better than COD4 I think :P

Nobody really knows about multiplayer, but in single player there will be vehicle parts. Honestly I doubt they would put tanks or helicopters in multiplayer. I think a Humvee on a big map isn't a horrible thing. As long as you can do damage to it, it should be balanced.

Your right it wasnt made by activision, but they published it. Infinity ward does the Modern warfare. Treyarch did WAW. Its all Activision though.
