Ehh I sorta like Asher Roth. His rap itself isnt that great but he has some funny punchlines and I like his personality. He talks openly about his marijuana use and he is "real".
i really hate hearing that "he talks openly about narijuana" line. Alot fo people seem to say that like its something new or like he's doing it in a new way. People have been doing it in clever ways for a long long time now...

gotta admit thought hat Flo Rida "Right Round" has a catchy beat. I don't even consider stuff like that rap music, more like dance music.
as for rappers i can stand
Lupe Nas Kanye(sometimes)
thats about it, i don't go that deep into the genre cause most of its garbage but if i here something that catches my ear i won't auto-ignore just because its rap...
how bout that Asher Roth...
You do know that "Right Round" samples "You Spin Me Round". His whole CD is his producer spending a little bit of time on a beat that is already perfect (hence ROOTS).

Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy.....Ruining HipHop, One track at a time.

I know a lot of people that haven't even heard the original, my bad for asking.
It certainly would have been cheaper to buy an alarm clock . Lil Wayne is being sued for nearly half-a-million bucks for sleeping when he should have been performing.
Red City Entertainment claims it fronted $432,000 for a Wayne concert appearance in the Bahamas. On September 27, 2008, there were plenty of lights and cameras... but no action, because Wayne was passed out in his hotel room. When he didn't show for the performance, cops went to his hotel and found him unconscious.
In the lawsuit filed today, Red City claims it gave Wayne a $210,000 advance. The balance is for his hotel expenses and various costs involved in throwing the failed concert.
**** Lil Wayne he and Soulja Boi(y) killed Hip-Hop
No. Just no. WE killed hip-hop, artists can't kill it, the people who listen to shitty rap made hip-hop turning in a different direction, or kill it, as you said it.

Even tho your list is probably copied from any youtube vid or hiphop forum it's a good list. But C. Hamilton en Kid Cudi in that list? C'mon.. I wonder why people who claim to listen to the "real shit" always forget to mention names like Reks, Royce da 5"'9, Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, AZ etc. But I guess that's a part of following the mass..
OT: Weezy is alright. He has some cool stuff like C1,2 & Drought 3 and some awfull stuff like C3 etc.

Why are people lumping in Lupe Fiasco in with "real" rappers?
Why do you misread "real shit" for "real rappers"? Lupe is part of what sheeps w/o an own opinion call "real shit". It just means that he doesn't rap about 'money, cars 'n hoes'.

so then what is "real shit" and what is a "real" rapper....these aren't rhetorical questions btw...
I explained "real shit" in my previous post. A "real rapper" is considered a rapper who doesn't lie about the things he raps about. Nas for example is considered as not real by a lot of people because people claim he didn't really do the things he raps about, yet his first album is seen as the best rap album ever by many rap listeners. A "real rapper" is just a regular term while "real shit" is mostly used by sheep who follow the opinion of the mass.
