Haha riki is soooo easy to counter. Dust early on and he's toast even late game. ES is an epic hero throughout the game, really fun to play.

You are wrong Azilius. Watch my replay again. The other team have ward, dust, sladar but none is able to catch me. To clear invisible detect spell, you either need Purge, split into 3 hero. With Yasha is a plus to escape. Riki is classified one of 10 best hero due to his imba smoke and instant attack/escape blink.
Ppl usually think, oh, it's easy to counter Riki, just get a ward at earlier game. The point is he's not going to stay in that lane later and he could bring ward to counter. I've done that many time.
The only hero I can't play is templar assassin.

Try to tunnel him in Garena, or tell him to tunnel u.

That hero is such a win, with free wards, imba armor reduction, invisibility,AOE ranged attack,refraction/the best skill imo/.

His range and hp sucks, other than that awesome hero. Easily countered with wards but >.>

I can't watch the replay because it was posted before the latest Wc3 patch.

I've been playing dota for..3-4 years now. I find that riki is as simple as take down early and continue to take down. Never leave your paper heroes alone if he hasn't been ganked enough and always team push with dust. If a riki manages to farm the other team hasn't done it's job right =p

Trust me. Dota is not a matter of hero. It's all about farm, know how to use skills, how to combine skills, how to run.
Riki is more a chancer than a killer. You got to have patient to wait the time come, wait for your team, do not try 1v2. And always look at the enemies inventory.

Do you play non EM mode? A team of good heroes can totally beat down 5 carries very, very easily.

I play in AP,AR, clan war CM. Whoever knows me too well had to ban Riki lol. One Purge with Diffusal blade is one kill.

It's not like riki isn't a good hero, but he's not omgsuperamazing. Countering him is as easy as countering any other hero and if you're telling me you always win you're either with a stacked team or playing a bunch of noobs =\

But to counter you need to have a shitload of wards and dust. It's not like u have thousands of gold in your inventory at the beginning. Riki has a decent ability to escape because of his smoke disable spells and -20% mov speed, and blink. If you are with your team but die the first it's because you are noobs :D
Not only skills, but you got to buy appropriate items such as Yasha for speed, Manta Style to split, Diffusal to cure bad spells. Manta+Diffusal is 2 times get rid of dust in a row. With such items but you still die is because you are a noob.
Some smart dude took gem. But because I usually check inventory of others before attacking, staying close, he still dies and lost gem as usual.

180 gold is 2 dusts aka 2 kills. A kill gives you over 250 gold..Only one person has to spend the gold and assists also give small amounts of gold. Farming all that you said would take a very long time in dota. If you did get to farm that much I don't see why the other team can't slap a disable on you and take you down instantly since we're talking late game or are you telling me you have linkins sphere as well to counter that.... I'm guessing you're fairly new especially by your attitude..

I don't know why you still believe that every time you use a dust, you'd get a kill from Riki, as if you are pretending that he is standing 1 cm close to you or he is alone without team. Unless you are outnumbered 2v1, 3v2 or 5v3. Or you usually play with noob or you never really meet a good Riki.
If even riki can't survive, what make you think other heroes would be able to survive too? It's all about how you play your hero.

lol,

Rikimaru is one of DotA's worst heroes. You must be playing -em pubs where no one buys Dust and lets you farm up your Treads and Diffusal Blade in the first place. The fact of the matter is that Riki gets dominated by any semblance of a good lane combo, is countered by a 180 item, and has shit HP. The only good thing about him is his Smokescreen. Seeing a Riki on the other team is as lols as seeing a Sniper -- I just buy some Dust and feed on him over and over and over again. And the people I play with are hardly noobs.

Sorry, Silo, I don't know who you're playing against, but there's a reason why people in any higher level of play than pubs don't ever pick Riki, no matter how skilled they are. Go to www.gosugamers.net/dota and try to find me one replay where a team picks Riki.

Of course if we're talking about pubs here, than sure, Rikimaru is fantastic. After all, 99% of the players are noobs and think that invisibility is the best spell in the game.

-.-
Lots of pubs in my server also bla bla "riki is a noob hero", so I said "ok, i'm pro, I'll use noob hero to feed you, k?". In the end, I ended up with godlike and imba items.
The point of Riki isn't about just invisibility, but smoke to silence a group of ppl. It's not because when you use a dust you'd kill him lol He has foot like everyone else too -.-
In 1v1, if you use dust, I don't need to run but attack you back :D

Yes, I do. The point is not they stay in the smoke or not. The point is smoke silence a large group of heroes and stop channeling spell. Blink+smoke that's you first job in the beginning, team mate stun or disable them after, they're still in smoke. They use dust, you only need to wait and attack by chance, when they all use their spells, ultis, you come the last to finish. In a general long game, my items at least provide me +125 agility. With the base agility, that's +200 extra dmg from backstab and that hurt a lot.

WW-ers in enemy team waiting for u to start attacking maybe? Stunners?
A skilled nerubian assasin in enemy team will make u cry anytime anyday.
Disablers? U know net>invisibility? Necromicon? If not 1 then 2 players are more than enough to gank and kill riki early game with just 1 dust and disable.

So does Nerub invisibility can be countered by dust, ward. Weaver, Gondar, Templar assassin, Lothar. All useless? Maybe you should PM IceFrog to remove useless heroes then.

Magnus ulti -> Geomancer net -> Riki smoke. Oh well, that's 8s silence in smoke and you can't escape. Have you ever wondered how devastating the attack of Magnus, when you all stay close together?

As far as I see, you didn't acknowledge all the good points/bad points of every hero, you only look at the bad side and judge.
Sniper, far range, little stun, very good to harass at earlier game, anti-channeling, a great kser when he got ulti staff.
Clinkz, almost max mov speed with power thread when invi, 70% of the time he will be missed on the map and wait the chance to kill.

If you still think any heroes with invi are useless because you can easily counter with a dust and ward (oh wait, is there any hero that can't be countered?), then my honest advice is that you email IceFrog right away to tell him delete these heroes. Make sure you also post in dota forum to see how much flames you'd get.

These agility are mostly solo heroes, dmg dealer heroes rather than a team play, support heroes.
