I did. I can post a video showing that it doesn't work for me. Perhaps it's only in the USA.

Human is a species thirst of knowledge and answers. It always tries to find the answer for smt and it can't bear to exist with the "unknown". It tries to convince itself that it found the right answer. But in fact, decades and thousands of years later, everything that had been said will be proven wrong.
Local knowledge and wisdom are made to explain the local environment and local world. It's never possible to use it to explain the extern world.

Problem is, you'd first have to assume there's an external world, and also assume that it requires an explanation.

It definitely must be the reason why. I'm not surprised at all.

I have no idea how they explained biology to you guys. Our textbook says that evolution is the overarching theme of biology and that it allows scientists to explain many things about life and organisms.

Yea, I realize that now, but back then I guess there wasn't an overarching theme presented to us. We were basically taught all the different components of biology..with no central theme. It all makes much more sense now though.

Heo, what the..I don't even..

@Silo and CeLL, didn't quite understand what you are trying to say..so no reply. lol.

im mostly just mocking how ridiculous silo makes himself with with his inability to type the word something out like an educated human being generally would.

How did you deduce that from my sentence?

My point was, your own family tree can provide proof to your canard. You yourself are the transitional form (or intermediate form) between your parents and your offspring. I think that's as simple as it can be put. To suggest the notion that there is a "lack of fossil intermediary evidence" is fatuous at best, especially when lacking basic knowledge of population genetics and taxa which are vital to have, and more-so if you're trying to debunk it.

of what, exactly, am i the intermediate form. my children nor any of their offspring or future generations are going to be a different species. to imply that one species turned into an entirely different species over a long period of time, there should be clear evidence of this. darwin himself said this, and even stated that the evidence of this was lacking in his time.

There should be, that is correct. And there is. Thousands of fossils and biological evidence.

I posted a few videos on page 5.

Sorry for editing this post so much...

EDIT: Wanted to add, my reply wasn't geared specifically at your comment, I just wanted to throw down some more evidence for evolution, some of which does, in a way, address your comment. However, even with a limited understanding of evolution, the fact that we share common ancestry with many different species all the way back to a common one, should be evident.

Your parents and yourself share many genes, but you are not the same as them. So while genetically you, your father, and your son (or daughter) are extremely similar, all three of you are still widely different. I think your problem is understanding what is meant by "species". Maybe you were misinformed. It's a common error for critics of evolution to classify "species" as more of a fixed "type", when that is incorrect, and its a detrimental issue when discussing evolution. Species can be better described as "populations of organisms that have a high level of genetic similarity". Maybe that should clear up any confusion.

Edit: I just noticed the original topic of this thread was about the Zeitgeist videos lol. Few comments on that little cherry:

- Jesus of Nazareth was not born on December 25. While his birth is celebrated on that day, an actual birth date was never mentioned in the Bible. It was Pope Julius who established that the birth of Christ would be celebrated on the 25th of December.
- Horus was not born of a virgin. He was the son of Isis and Osiris.

Which brings me to my conclusion that these Zeitgeist films are garbage and if you take them for granted you are very impressionable.

it can be determined according to the priest cycles of certain people that he was either born on or around sept 11, or march 11th. more than likely sept. due to weather conditions stated in the bible. most people just dont take the time to research what their own holy word teachs and just blindly follows anyone who molests children.

My church and I celebrate it around September or October depending on the year. Sukkot or Tabernacles is what it's called. = )

yes, the holy days have great symbolic and spiritual signifigance in the prophetic timeline of gods plan.

is your ekklesia a herbert armstrong type of church or an actual messianic jew-ish type establishment? just curious.

I know tv isnt generally a good source for information, but I was watching "no reservation with anthony bordain," and he went to turkey during the time of the 28 -or so day fast. And I noticed that they are far more tolerant in general without comprimising their convictions. Its unfortunate how games like sro ruin perspectives on places like turkey, which, by the way, looks like it has some Farking delicious ass'd foods.

Messianic Jewish I suppose. Although we're actually a tad bit different then them on certain areas. We call ourselves Messianic Israel, and are a part of the Messianic Israel Alliance. we're actually hosting a big conference this year in Maryville college. That's in TN.

However, what about all the other claims on that picture?

The Bible is full of errors however, Genesis? Really? Fine, take it as a metaphorical story, but then from there where do you go? Pick and choose your way through to fit your needs? I have problems with that.. Is it not all metaphorical or all literal? Who determines what is what?

I'm really not into analyzing Bible versus too much. Looks to me you could go either way with it. God's pretty much giving you the choice to choose good or evil. Regardless of what your parents did, granted, it's much harder to do good/seek God when your parents never did. Which can cause generations of the same family to continue living without God in their lives, until some breaks that cycle. My Dad's parents weren't "saved" or anything remotely close to that. Yet here is my Dad 50+ years later leading a congregation of 175+ Messianic believers for the past 13 years while being the COO of the Messianic Israel alliance that has well over a 1500 members.

However, what about all the other claims on that picture? "that picture" ?

The Bible is full of errors however, Genesis? Really? Fine, take it as a metaphorical story, but then from there where do you go? Pick and choose your way through to fit your needs? I have problems with that.. As do I. Which is why I don't ignore things like the dietary laws which so many Christians do. Is it not all metaphorical or all literal? Who determines what is what? I agree with you that it's tricky. You've really just gotta take the time to study the bible, making sure to take into account that time period and cultural aspect of when and where it was written. It's still hard even for the most learned biblical scholars to interpret certain parts of the bible. But for the most part it's easily understandable with a little bit of work.

as far as the Genesis story, as it were. if you consider that not every day, HAS to be consecutive, but rather work is done on day X to set certain aspects of terraforming into motion.

after that aspect has been accomplished, another day of working to set the next step into motion and so forth.

take the mythical, ethral, mystical perspective out of it and just look at it from a scientific perspective. the genesis story gives a perfect example of how to terraform a planet. that book is suggested to be several thousand years old, almost as old as the book of job. no matter how old the book really is, think about this. how did any ancient man determine the exact process that would be required to take a planet that is chaotic and without propper form, and then make it into a working "living" life baring machine if you will? genesis 1:1 the begining is likely the bang that many call big. after how ever long it took for the rapid expansion of the universe to settle some is when this planet began to be terraformed, hence day one. the chaotic earth settle and an atmosphere was in development. a propper rotation was established seperating day and night, the rotation lead to the begining of weather patterns, and a development of our "poles." this drew the water into the atmosphere (giving way for the celestial bodies to shine on the earth and give way for seasons and times) and the poles exposing dry land for the formation of flora, after the establishment of flora, the fauna began to develop.
there are a great number of scientists even ones that teach evolution that point out that our existance doesnt appear as gradual as it does sudden and out of no where.

say what you will of the genesis epic it is still a prestine example of terraforming a planet.
