+1.

This is probably the best way to SP farm. Before you start to level up and close your gap, make sure you HAVE enough sp to get to whatever level you are farming for. Once you get to like lvl 90, farming with a 9 gap is a bitch. Sometimes, getting maybe 10 - 20k more, is helpful incase you decide to get a few extra skills.

For any other way of farming just open up a 9 gap, get the best wep you can afford and go kill millions of mobs you can kill fairly fast.

Wasn't the old way of farming at bandits ? get a lvl 16 sox bow, and grind at bandits with a 9 gap.

well, if you ignore his current lvl. this is what i am doing.
i'm a bower. at lvl 16 i farmed at bandit archer with a 9 gap as stated earlier, but i only farm till lvl 21. no repeat. that'll give me enough sp for 0-gap till lvl 33. at that point i build a 9 gap again and farm at ongs or whatever mob i can easily kill in samarkand from 42-47. that'll last me until lvl 55.
then again build a 9 gap and farm at dowhang caves from 64-70, which will last me till 90. i'll figure out what to do from then on.
of course, this is still theory. i'm testing it right now.
and. having an item pickup pet during the farming times makes it easier. don't need them through the zero gaps cuz i'll level extra fast.

NO idea lol :P Just a way to get fast Sp. I've done something with a high level and just standing there while in party, but don't really understand it ..

Well here's a guide on powerfarming at ongs, the fastest way to get farmed in this game.

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=71661

Then you have several other ways to farm, but basically it's just open a 9gap, go to mobs you can kill fairly fast and grind away till you get the desired sp.

Sometimes longer  In the grand scheme of Silkroad I think it's better to farm at ongs for two months than level with a 6-9 gap to be fully farmed.

I guess the other option is to farm at cap, but I've heard bad things about that.

No no no no. Thats like using a typrewriter to do your english papers. The ongs are much faster and much more efficient. Use a taxi if you dont have any people to help you.

I searched around and found this...despite the various answers in the other thread, I believe this to be true:

For maximum XP gain: You must be 11 levels lower than the monster.
For maximum SP gain: Your masteries/skill levels should be 9 levels lower than your character's level.
SP and XP are related, so XP drops off where SP increases and vice verse. If you have a 0 gap - that is, your masteries are the same as your character's level - you will gain MORE XP than SP.

So, to get powerleveled - skill point farmed - at ongs (33/34) technically you should be level 22, masteries at 13. However it seems most people leave their masteries lower, as there is no falloff in XP gain past a 9 gap. There really is not a way to gain the best XP while gaining the best SP. I'm assuming this is why people gain as much SP at ongs, so that they can then level quickly with a 0 gap and not have to worry about SP.

Someone else point this guy in the right direction, but this seems right to me.
