There are still bots but less, less goldbots, less goldbotstalls. Traffic is alright now, it gets busy during the day for me but in the morning/night it's first try log on.

well.. i said id return when i can go to the niya mages and kill the mobs without being ksed.
when i said this i could kill maybe 2-3 mobs a minute because id get ks'd that much by gold bots... i know the niya remains is a good spawn for the mages but... not with the amount of gold bots that where there so... can i grind at the niya mages relativly ok?

Player bots are still there. Mages on Iris aren't horrible but there are still one or two goldbots there.

Haven't been there in a long long time, I wouldn't be surprised if it's pretty empty there though, or it's full of plvlers.

imo sro has improved a tad bit. They do ban gold bots and on occassions player bots. Traffic has gone down and like moshe said during day time takes 5-10min to get in but at night time its always 1st try. Lots of old players have returned and in Pacific at least jobbing and pvping has kind of revived. There are still a lot of gold bots but its not like joymax isn't trying. As far as player bots they have removed the clientless feature and many morons who were logging on xxx chars on 1 pc can't.

What you are looking at has improved, but the game hasn't. It is still hard as balls to level. Everyone should be given a fair shake at 1 to cap without buying silk and between updates. That doesn't mean they should stretch the cap out for more than a year though.

1) SRO = same shit
2) They've always banned gold and player bots, it's called the GNGWC and MMOSITE contest time. Once it's all over, JM staff goes afk until next year.
3) If goldbots already have clientless again, it won't be long until the rest of them get it.

I agree. Something is different this time.

GM's are actually doing weird stuff on Athens. We've had one respond and another give ^_^ at the end of one of their notices.

actually i dont see the game being difficult to get to 100. ill tell u why.. pick say the niya mages. super high spawn (when no1's there) all you have to do as a nuker is cast aoe skills and get like 2-3 kills per nuke. so ud be getting 2-3 your exp right now. not only that.. if you were in partys of 8 with a warrior to agro and mages and nukers to nuke x that by 10. so i think its definatly possible... still hard tho.

but yea ill check later or something

also pvp? is that mainly the player bots that have already got to level 100?
it used to be one guild or union running the server.. ie. you kill sum1 and a guild shows up with outside buffers and just drops 20 lvl 100's like flies with there sosun +9 gears.

Yeah...mages might have a nice spawn but that will only get worse overtime, add the fact you need several hundred's of million exp each lvl going up to 1.3bil for lvl 99->100 and 1.4bil for 100->101.

MMOsite contest is still running. Check rev6 or mmosite. Rev6 post was on Feb 20 saying there's still 2 weeks left. Last update I see just by glancing at the mmosite page was on Feb 22. Hardly over. Once all this settles down let's see what JM does.

Sad when the players of a mmo consider "^_^" a positive sign of GM activity. Who knows, maybe the next time they say "Hi" we'll all agree to buy Prem +++ to support their hard work.

Guess you skipped the first part. That's ok. Be narrow-minded.

I agree and it seems like there are a lot of negative Nancy's who just don't want to appreciate what joymax is trying to do to improve the game... I mean a couple of months ago the game was just hell

The fact that they responded? That's ok. Be gullible. GM that can talk is a pretty rare and

amazing thing.. o wait, that's just on SRO.

A couple of month ago, the only diff was traffic. Only thing that's changed is the trouble botters are having with clientless turned off. Notice how traffic is slowly climbing back up again.

Uranus is fine dont worry, only a few people plvl(bot plvl) at niya area but its not like you cannot find a good spot to grind. At night Hotan is pretty empty compared to how it was at max traffic. Hand grinding is pretty easy now but few people at same lvl are legit so its hard to find grinding pt's past lvl 50.... there used to be a group of legits that were lvl 70's but they all bot now... or quit

@Goseki well the climb in traffic is an influx of bots and more new people/old people returning... gold bots only make up max 500 out of Uranus's population. Most new people dont bot but all they do is get botted by plvlers with the gold the make from dropped elixirs from hand grinding which i find as a joke. I have a lvl 53 wizard and i am farming atm. I want to buy tablets and stones for my character but all i get is tabs from people just coming back or checking up on their characters and saying they are quitting. Yet less than 10% of these people that come back and are over lvl 40 actually hand grind long enough to drop any items.

What i am saying is that when Joymax started banning max population was about 2500 with 250 being gold bots. Now its about 500-750 per server. The rest of the traffic is old people coming back or new ones coming in... yet the sad thing is that they learn of the fast way of lvling very quickly which is being plvled and finding any items that are not 8d+ is difficult.
Its a boring SRO Atm but its been that way for a while but people are comming back and they are not gold bots filling up the servers on the most part.

Joymax will have to do a lot more to impress me. They've already convince the entire community that they are incompetent for over 3 years. A GM responding to a "Hi" and the servers being easy to access for about a month now DOES NOT make up for the past 3+ years of hell.

+1

@ Domini

JM banned mostly random afk characters "someone" made and left standing around in town. Goldbots only taking up 500 of the space? I should join your server than. 2500 active players.

Per server, max active players is usually around 1500 and that's pushing it. Big unions have around 400 people. During big wars, around 3 full unions and 4 small unions will show up. That's around 2k max. Although not everyone in an entire union will be online at once. Goldbots make up around 50% of the server. It use to be around 70-80, but with the recent hackshield preventing some bots from being clientless, it seems the numbers have dropped. I've seen a few returning people, but nowhere near enough to make that many active players.

I see goldbots already running in full force. You don't see them as much anymore since they're spread out around smk and dw now.

hmm i always wondered if the GM's already know that 70% or more of the sro population bots...maybe they are worried to ban all player..it would lead to a lot of profit loss.
They are stuck between making profit or helping the players ;P but they are trying i guess.

@OP: Sro is better to get into..less traffic BUT the sp requirement is still a betch. Ridiculous past lvl 100...almost 90% of lvl 100+ on Venus are botters if not more..can't see an end to it >.<

yea that is the reason i dont play sro atm.
this is a short guide of how to be successful in wow.
get about 5 friends. start sro and bot 8chars each to level 100. then buy gold or farm for sun items. +9 all your sun items. then ruin every1's game play by owning fortresses or job or pvp or murdering people.

its a shame to think that skill has been replaced by numbers. the more bots sum1 owned. the stronger there main char was. well thats how it was 3months ago.

i enjoy grinding solo and finding a spot was always the problem.

o btw Domini... i was in legit union SocialExiles. we were probably the largest union of legits. every member was legit and we had some good times. almost every1 quit because fighting against non-stop bots was seeming more like a job then a hobby. 1 of our main members Airborne turned bot. and Alesia (if i remember) used all my sos items till 60 whilst getting plvled by Exile (then a lvl 90 ff) until she got to 60+ then left joined aliens or who ever and got bot plvl till 85 ish and botted the last few levels. then she started scamming sun items which decreased SE reputation.

Further more IAmGod claimed to have a video of our leader Exile botting yet failed to prove his claim however the botter sociaty just tore us up. Most of us quit leaving Me(Penfold) Treacle Astinos Leonidas Hellblade and Perrytje the last super active members.

then us lot quit as the bot population started murdering our players. to add insult to injury i logged in before Xmas and Social Exiles(number 4) had joined Aliens union becoming a all bot guild.

Just a little history of uranus ;)
