At my school there is an average 'passing percentage' of 97% each year, so statistically I'm also fine So here's hoping that in a month I can leave this bullshit high school behind me. Bwaha for that shit I studied like 30mins max for each subject =p I got nothing going on here haha...sadly somewhat >.<

Update!
I took my AP Java test today
I only answered 19 out of 40 multiple choice questions and guessed on 5 of them.
The open responce questions I oonly answered half of one. There are 4 of them lol.
I FAILED LOL 95% of the class gave up and closed their books and we all jujst lol'ed
Only ONE kid out of about 35 actually did more than 40% of the test.
Studying for history now

Taking AP World History on thursday. Teacher told me AP US History is among the harder of the AP tests as its more specific and more memory based than world history, so props to you if you get a 4 or 5. I'm aiming for a 3 atleast So atleast then I might be able to get some college credit if I go to the mainland for college. University of Hawaii only accepts 4, yet USC(or w/e college it is) accepts 3. myface.jpg

social science AP classes are a joke. Just take them for elective credit in college cause most reputable schools don't care for them when they look at your transcript. btw I dual enrolled at a community college for the calc 3 class as a senior. Community colleges are worse than I thought; the class was piss easy and the professor didn't care and the students didn't care. University is probably going to be 5x harder than this..

What makes you think you can make an intelligent statement about AP classes when you haven't even taken one. Some american high schools suck and some are high quality. It really depends on how affluent the local community is.

What makes you think you can make an intelligent statement about AP classes when you haven't even taken one. Some american high schools suck and some are high quality. It really depends on how affluent the local community is. I am not dissing the quality of AP tests, I am dissing the system. It's stupid that you have to go to high school that's made so that the average guy can pass it (no levels). The only way you can set yourself apart from the rest is by taking extra AP courses. Basically all your courses but the AP course are under your own capabilities if you're going to a university. It would be much better if all your courses would be AP courses, so there would be a level completely made for preparing you for university. Kind of like prep school. You're wasting your time on high school, and to get in a good university you even have to sign up for community college to be able to set yourself apart. It's not a fair system and AP courses and all that extra curricular stuff just increase the workload, but even after that you're still on the same level as thousands of other kids. Smart(er) people are left out in the cold if they don't have the money/ability/time to sign up for extra AP courses. Not that I am some communist, but the American system is in no way fair to the poor and underprivileged. Why create extra tests when you're already going to a high school? Isn't it the job of the high school to prepare you for wherever you're going? Sure, they offer the AP courses (not all high school do..), but shouldn't regular education suffice? But seeing as there is no 'AP-level' the regular education does not suffice, and you all get stuck doing loads of extra stuff on top of your straight A regular high school bullshit.

I'm not sure that you completely understand what the point of AP classes are. They are there as the equlivalent to first-year college courses and by getting an acceptable score on the AP test (all taken in may), your college will give you credit for the class and let you skip it.
First, you don't "pay" for AP classes. It all depends on whether or not your school offers them. The shittiest ones will offer zero, the best ones will offer like 15. Most schools fall in between there. You do have to pay for the AP test, which is expensive so fuck you collegeboard (the organization that runs this), but there are ways to cut the costs if you are poor or underpriveleged.
Second, disadvantages students aren't necessarily shafted by the system. When colleges look at your class rigor, they compare it to how many AP classes your school has. If a poor guy is from a poor school takes all the AP courses at his school (even if the school only offers like 3), colleges are going to be very impressed because they see this student as someone who tries hard to take the hardest classes. Compare that to a rich kid who also took 3 AP courses when his high school offered like 10. The rich kid will probably get rejected.
You see, its all about the student relative to his/her school. They find out how strong their course rigor is compared to what the school offers. Then they see how their GPA is.
I agree that regular high school classes are stupid and piss easy. But I'm thankful that there are AP courses where you can really learn a lot and even get college credit if you do good in them. Our american high school system is another broken thing that obama needs to fix. Teacher union and grade inflation..rip them apart and make a national high school system. Oh wait, here comes the nutty republicans..time to run.
Even if our high school system sucks compared to other countries (because ours isn't standardized), I'll say that in America, you make your life the way you want it to be, not because someone tells you to. People that want to succeed and make a lot of money or get a good job, high schools are set up in a way so that you can take the hardest and best classes they offer so that you have a better shot at going to better colleges. At the same time, if you don't care and hate school, high school can become the easiest thing in the world if all you take are shop classes and other elective bullshit. Too bad you'll end up in some shitty community college or 4th tier local school.

Well in my school, there's a double period class for AP US History, and they took the AP Exam, but since I am in the one period class for AP US History, I am going to take the AP US History Exam on in two weeks
