Video explaining in a great way sup with religion, just watch all of it ( the actual message I want to share is a bit in but the rest is also great ).
edit: what I want to share is 16 minutes in, almost precisely.

it's funny how people always are trying to explain religion when in fact it's something you believe in. no proof is needed or wanted.
I was thinking what to respond to this and I decided that an appropriate response would involve saying something that reflected the genius behind your statement here; anyways I am sharing this because true story I suddenly just bursted in laughter as I processed how ridiculous this claim is, good times.

I would prefer it if we didn't discuss religion here as I can already see myself explaining ( again ) what religion is and does and at the end of all that comes a "not a fcking chance" at which point we find ourselves playing flameville.

The problem is that what -you- believe will negatively affect my life.
I could care less who you worship or why, but I do care about having to live my life under your religion's constraints in trying to accommodate you.
By you I mean the religious in general, not you as a person.
By the same token, I'm going to assume you're atheist, or don't believe, and that's fine. The reverse is probably true; some of them god-fearin' folks may think they have to accomodate you

Haha, too late, I sense flameville already, but thanks for trying to be nice about it.

I personally dont believe in god, but unlike some other people, I don't care what other people believe in. if they want to believe in a supreme leader that controls everything then that's fine with me. The thing i dont like about some atheists is that they try to convince people that god doesn't exist, which kinda annoys me.
In an attempt to end this I'll do a quick response. Speaking as an atheist what others believe is of little importance to myself but once you know and identify a system in place that recruits, enslaves, and more importantly that spares no1 from its leash you got make a decision, this decision consists mainly of 2 options.
The first involves the prevention of acquisition of power of said system ( the sheep army ), the second involves direct confrontation with the enforcers to the death, enslavement is obviously not an option as I personally have a better purpose in life than to serve some arrogant group of pricks. As you probably understand the first option is far more reasonable and involves efforts to educate those being predated upon about the predation and manipulation occurring, I hope this suffices.
edit: Is also important to understand that if you simply sit back while this happens you will soon enough be outnumbered specially once they control the children who have little to no chance against this now fine tuned machine, point being that idling against this will lead to my demise ( and of those who feel the same way ) and that is the reason why I care, have the stance I do, and take the actions I do.

Wow, ok then.
I don't know, there's lots of good causes in the world, guess you're anti-religion, and wish ya lots of luck with that.
BTW children grow up to think for themselves, sometimes they don't turn out religious. I'm really not.

either that, or you are a GREAT troll, thanks!
you sure about that? with the children and all.... grow up in Islam or somewhere that is heavily religious. do you think you would grow up an atheist? how does religion keep going? by teaching the young and scaring them that if they don't believe they will burn in hell.
this is why i love the USA, the only religion that gets shoved in my face is from the ppl, not the govt., so i really dont have to deal with em, the only time i do is when you go to their schools

You have a point there. I guess we won't know until science can disprove the existence of God. I mean with certain people supposedly "dying" and then having a religious experience - who knows? is that the brain doing something we don't understand due to lack of oxygen? that'd be my guess.
Yeah, extremism of ANY sort is bad, mmmkay. Personally, what they believe is fine with me as long as a ton of stupid laws don't get passed. Some stuff should be common sense like not marrying your dog.

Why should science have to disprove the existence of god? Why is his existence a valid concept? Where is the evidence to make such a claim? Does science also need to disprove leprechauns, unicorns, and flying giraffes?
The problem is stupid laws are passed as a result of religion.

Longer reply coming when im not on my phone...
You are perfectly right. Science doesn't need to disprove leprechauns, unicorns, and flying giraffes because they are all about belief and imagination

So the fact that the president always closes with "God bless America" is not religion intertwined with the government? You have no chance of becoming a president in the US if you're an atheist. US still has to come from far when it's about religion compared to all other western countries.
oh i know the little things, but idc abt that, as long as i dont have kneel over and pray to being that doesnt exist im satisfied, or have to pay churchs, that too
