Hello Friends,

I love lego. My parents spent thousands of dollars on lego when I was younger and it was by far my most played toy. All my lego is at my dad's a couple hours away. A couple times i've almost went to the store and bought lego.

I just watched a TED video on lego and the guy talked about lego CAD software where you can design and then order all the pieces to be shipped to you.

Here is the link:

http://shop.lego.com/Product/Factory/About.aspx

Here is the video:

Code: Select all

I have two huge tubs full of Lego Technics. Those are the shiz. Also have two RCX programmable units, used to be crazy into legos. We used MLCAD for one of my engineering classes were we had to design a lego / knex draw bridge, it's similar to the program in the video. Being able to buy only the bricks you need is pretty awesome though.

got 2 giant tubs of lego pieces in my basement. knex is too restrictive, you can't make all kinds of stuff like you can with legos.

I was interested, then I noticed that the lego website is written in ASP. Then my natural reflexes caused me to throw up. :(
