Why the hell is Joymax trying to appease us with fake dates and lies? Do they just try to hype us so we continue to play thier game? I mean seriously, if you backtrack, they are almost always late. Very annoying, you can no longer actually look forward to an announcement due to the fact that it won't happen. I really don't think a company can be that inaccurate almost everytime, their obvious strategy sucks.

Current list of lies: (I hope most of these can be crossed out after this 4 hour update)

-The Viets getting banned.

-Red Sea. (Its open)

-Cheering event. (Its done)

-Babel Compensation event.

-?????? D/C error fixing. (Never gonna be fixed)

-Item that was supposed to give 5% extra damage and def, along with double exp. (Yay for giving people with money even a bigger advantage?)

Past:

-Guild renovation, very late. (They said they would update. They did)

-Selecting new silk assistants.

-Telling us to expect larger and more frequent banned for botting lists, instead, they stopped banning all together.

-90% of everything else, also very late.

GM if you read this thread I'd like to tell you that you suck. You obivusly dont care about people who give money for your pay check. I'd like to point out one game, called OGame. It's a browser based MMO game, German, with many local version. One of those locals is of my country, Crotia. Check this. It's a block list (something you forgot how its done) of Uni1. As you can see therse shit load of blocks, thats because GO (game operator) does something. And we come to why its important. OGame is a free game! Just like SRO, yet they have the time to block people. They also have something like silk, you pay for some advanced shit. If you try conntacing someone about a bug/problem/multi account/ account sharing/ bug using/ etc. You'll get a reply instantly and the person cheating will get banned with his name on hall of shame. You need to work out your shit, and decide will you block botters or not. Until you do, me, my guild mates and friends are boycoting buying silk. And I'll ask everyone I know to stop buying it. Get fired or start working.

I think JM has done a good job in overall but sometimes they irk me.

1. Yes late here late there. I don't understand why in real life punctuality matters. So in game you can go anyhow?

2. DC problem. No complaint here because it's hard to give everyone good silkroad experience (imagine once a week maintenance -_-)

3. Botter problem. Ok you can see botters like school children in developed country. What is this?

4. CCF problem. I don't get it why, although this is obvious, JM can't solve this problem. Income problem when they solve it?

I don't expect 100% perfect game like the other advanced version. Punctuality is the basic standard of serving customers. Then people tell me, go and quit. Ok if i quit, which game should i play huh? This game is great but the one that is carrying it out is not as good.

So does it mean that by staying in the game, i got to follow the rules..."yes being late is acceptable?"Therefore we have to pay to get better services? Like JSRO? I rather they do that so i can quit, giivng me a good reason to quit SRO.

I am sure this ISRO is developed so people can enjoy. BUT if they keep giving us fake date, i rather they never announce any update. If they want to update, do it at that moment without any notice

So, yes i agree with Billion on being punctual

Nightbloom, and others, I would like to take this opportunity to share an epiphany I had a few days ago. I learned this after I made a mistake and saw the effect my own posts can have on others. I hope you'll take it to heart, as you should.

Please read your posts before you submit them. Being a popular figure in a community automatically gives you the responsibility of showing the rest of the crowd what acceptable behavour is, and if they see you being a mature, sensible person, they too (obviously with exceptions here and there) will try and act in a decent fashion. But it's remarks like "you whiny little babies" (and worse) that really degrade the level of maturity in this forum, and I see them everywhere. You're insulting people when you say things like that, not just names on a forum. If you want to be a mature and respected member, the very least you could do is keep these sort of insults to yourself; in this way, other people will look up to you and follow suit. Please don't take this responsibility lightly, because it affects us all. WE are what makes the tone here change. Thanks.

Now, the thread is not insulting anybody, it's just one guy stating his opinion on Joymax. Let's do the adult thing and discuss it maturely, hmm? We all have our own opinions, after all, and nobody has the right to flame anyone else just because you don't agree.

New SAs: They might be selecting more in the near future. I know nightv and I talked about possibly becoming one.

Bottom-line: It's a free game that you choose to spend money on. If you don't like the service, stop spending money. Joymax is doing their best to update and keep things moving, but keep in mind they have a ton of things to do. There are 6 versions of sro (tSRO, kSRO, iSRO, cSRO, jSRO, vSRO) and all are at different points as far as updates go. Another thing is, everything needs to be translated and doublechecked for errors (things like glavie, lol, Crayon did say the company who did the original translation and swear filter won't be working on the game anymore). Also, they are working on FOS (aka Europe) at the moment as well. Give them a break and appreciate what you do have rather than whining about what you don't have.

Well said Cuch! I've GM'ed multiplayer games (text based back then) when I was in university, and I remember what a thankless job it can be. I feel that within their limits our GMs are doing a very good job at improving the game, and with a few more SAs and a bit of PR work from those SAs (perhaps they can take over some reporting tasks like e.g. the botter list?) this game should stay enjoyable for quite a while.

Also, I know how hard it is to keep a game balanced for all levels. Looking at SRO I think they have done an excellent job! Without the need of excessive amounts of hp or damage, they've still managed to keep a clear difference between the levels where a lvl 50 is very unlikely to take out a lvl 60+. I wish more information was available about game mechanisms though. :) I'd love to write some documentation about it if I had the needed information.

I like you Moogie, you are pacifistic to a fault and the world needs those kinds of ppl. I respect your view in thought if not action. But Im not like you m'Dear. The girly stops at the nail salon. Sometimes, when a kid acts like a whiney baby, they need to be told not to act like a whiney baby.

I thought out my answer quite carefully as I do the majority of my posts, tho I only make them when the mood strikes. I do not post with the thought, "oh noes what will they think?" in mind, but rather, "What do I want them to know?" I want them to know that JM isnt all bad and complainers should have thier fingers broken or at the minimum, spanked. If no one of an opposing view speaks, then the negatives just pile up and more and more ppl read only the bad about iSRO and none of the good. I often wonder what a new person thinks when they come in here and read these "JM SUXXORZ" threads. To me and others the good is obvious and the hater threads are getting ridiculous and babyish.

I live on a very small island, in a very small town where no one would hesitate to shake a finger at someone else's kid and tell them to shape up.

And you complain when others aren't perfectly nice when other's ask questions that you don't deem stupid. Double standard much?

@nightbloom

The way I see it there are different ways talking to people. It would be more adult-like if you explain to people your opions and explain why they're wrong. When you do so, you would get the same type of responses back.

If they are whiney or act like a spoiled baby (I'm not implying anyone does or is), the rest of the forum would know and you don't need to point out. Frankly, I don't know who is billion and doesn't matter what he does, I wouldn't call him this or that because I don't like to be called such. Doing so is immature and since we talked about setting the tone here, it should be mentioned also that it would be a bad example to do so.

You see the confusion happens when I've never heard of BakeMaster before. Yet see him make a random comment regarding me being SA. Still don't know what he's talking about.
Because I know he can't be comparing my playing abilities to being an SA, as I quit the SA role because I felt it was pointless. Has nothing to do with the gameplay. Also, keeping me "here"? Here being SRF, SRO, ?.
I also don't see how irony fits in, inside joke?

Not really in inside joke at all, infact a lot/most people on this forum know why this is funny.

But I'm not going to spoil the fun, Cham can if he wants. =) *Cough
