True, but this is meant to settle the ole "Which one hits higher" debate between Fire and Light.

Yes, Fire does have 2 nuke, but that's partially why I delvled it. I can't get both nukes off... Main reason, the mp cost. Casting both nukes really lowers my mp. In a pvp with 60% snow due to pure int, Taking a crit after launching 2 nukes really fcks me over by lowering mp to 0...

I did fine with 45% as pure int spear, 55% against warriors cuz of their slower dmg.

well tbh min/max doesnt really help much, i would rather know the average with a consistent amount of casts for each

In that case, I respectfully suggest you go find yourself a 100+ nuker and change 100 of his mastery, spend hours taking all the data and putting it in excel or whatever and test it yourself.

Just testing it for a consistent max alone took awhile, not to mention farming all those curse hearts, borrowing gold to delvl all that shit too...


Fire max + light mix will obviously hit more, a pure force nuker will nuke more duh. This was to settle the pure int Bich Fire Ice and Bich Light Ice. Not a mix build or spear or hybrid.

how much gold you spend in deleveling?

I'd estimate around 100m. I can't really remember cuz I got fortress war gold midway. I started out with around 350m, I have 330m now. Sold a staff for 50m, fw gold was 30m. So it seems like it was 100m.

Take in consider that if an Ice/Fire Nuker fights against an Ice/Light Nuker, the dmg of the Ice/Fire will be higher than that of the Ice/Light (mag defence buff.)

Well yea, against each other, fire has mag def and immunity.

However, against others, light will hit harder both nuke-wise and bich-wise. In group pvp, speed, mag def, and holy spell will be present cancelling the natural buffs. Light has the advantage of hitting harder + dashing. Fire has the advantage of fire wall.

Like I said, I didn't make this to argue which build is better, just to discover once and for all which has higher dmg.

I just dislike the lack of useful nukes light has compared to fire.

Thanks, and yea I do agree on that. Fire has bomb, hellfire, disintegrate, and eventually a volcano-like explosion. Light only has 1 bolt that is either yellow/green or blue/white... a bit of a fail on JM part. Should've at least change the graphics or maybe even the spread. (Spread 3, spread 4, spread 5 at max) I guess you can say lion shout makes up for it, but it seems like JM fcked up the color on the last one. 77 and 98 looks the same...

Here's why:

Last light nuke maxes at 106, fire maxes at 110, 110 and 109:

Crane's Thunderbolt lvl 106:........1582 ~ 2938 (300%)
Flame Wave Bomb lvl 110:...........1899 ~ 3166 (263%)
Flame Wave Hellfire lvl 109:.........1846 ~ 3077 (315%)
Flame Wave Disintigrate lvl 110:..1899 ~ 3166 (330%)

Fire imbue is stronger than light at max:
Thunder Phoenix Force 110:..964 ~ 1791
Cloud Fire Force 110:...........1216 ~ 2026

I don't see there being a definitive answer unless you test 110 Light verses 110 Fire. My money is on fire.

I don't really care about this cap, it was more for in general which is better. In the end 120 would be the same.

Unless you only want to be strong from 106-110 (NUKE-WISE), and be weaker the entire time before, AND probably be weaker after 110, fire's still weaker.

You forget how Light is still stronger in BOTH physical and magical attack. Fire gets higher dmg this cap with magical attack since they have 110 nukes, BUT its physical attack will always be lower.



Thunder Phoenix Force 110 + light buff: 1147 ~ 2131, although it's much stronger than that. Just look at the picture of bich max with ice imbue fire build and light build.

I don't know how it's calculated, but I'm pretty sure the light buff is added AFTER combining physical and magical dmg (attack + imbue). Only way to explain the 5-7k dmg increase.

How did you calculate those imbue numbers?

Can I get a link to the 120 skills and their numbers?

Test this on players your level, the differences are minuscule. I'd rather have the option to buff myself than rely on someone else all the time. Not to mention immunity, wall, and availability of multiple 110 nukes. I know this is a thread about nuke damage, but overall, this cap, you can't really say unless you go to 110. Only reason I bring up the advantages of fire in this post is to address your previous reply, I understand this thread was meant to be about damage only.

Imbue is the value you gave x 1.19% from buff.

When I had fire, I Nuked 16k, he said it was avg dmg for a non-prem char.
With light, I hit 20k.

Like I said, 110, fire should hit higher NUKE-WISE ONLY. Bich's not gonna change. Bich will be 110/110. It's already proven that mag dmg inc buff is stronger than Fire's phy dmg inc buff. It's also already proven that ice imbue + mag dmg + bich is already higher bich dmg than fire imbue + phy attk inc + bich dmg.

I am really confused what to get now fire or light?? I love both of them.
It made me realize to play back in my Nuker char. its lv73 with skills bich/fire/light/cold at 70.

i think im gonna keep that build for a while cuz im farming but after I farm, I am really confused which skill tree to use. I have seen a lot of really strong Chinese pure int with fire than light.

i love my fire/light/ice build, dont have to worry about silly stuff like this

yea its actually not as bad as i excepted it to be in pvp,using freeze to stop their attacks help a lot.

i have a s/s fire/ice/light i've been messing around with an so far its fun, looking forward to higher lvls with it

well you're going to have to drop something eventually, if you stick with bich i suggest taking ice and light, but if you go fire/ice/light feel free to pm me with questions.

oh i don't have any s/s skills really (thats just the weapon i carry around haha)

ahhh ok, makes sense now i also use s/s but if i get a REALLY good spear or bow, ill use them.

I don't know if I'll have enough sp to get the light imbue before hitting 106...

Fire Ice Light is strong, except for the lack of wep skills... I haven't found one that can kill ppl their lvl yet, usually just see them killing lower ppl... it's like a wiz in bless without life turnover... only wiz has kb, combustion, fear, and dull... It's not too bad of a grinding build though.

i should be FF100 in about a month so ill let you know but i am playing ZSZC

Update: Have the Light imbue, however I'm already 106 due to how long it took to get the sp... think I should bother comparing the light imbue at all?

I myself prefer the Light/Fire nuker... Why? because you get 19% mag damage increase.. + fire being the strongest nukes in combination, it is way better for maximum damage..
