hey guys im looking to get a new cell phone (mobile for us uk peoples)
the key things i wanted were: internets.... pretty much it!
as i was adviced a pay monthly phone would be a better option i decided to go with one of the following options however i have no idea what the differences of these things are, or what that actually means for the phone... instead of letting some "salesman phone EXPERT" tell me which phone is the best id like to see what you guys think
meh i know its a long list but im sure you guys can get that list down to 1 or 2 =) thanks in advanced and id be appreciated with comments of your own experiences

Why no HTC Legend? they're good. I have the HTC Wildfire, and its the nooby one of the phone's, it's cheap but it's a bit laggy, Go for one of the bigger models and you will not be let down.

I've had the Desire HD since March. It was my first upgrade into the Smartphone market, and i've really been enjoying it.
Easy surfing, Friendly UI, Capable Battery.
Just been an all around fun and good phone.
My recommendation.
Friend of mine has the BB Torch, and i was caught between the two for purchase.
Luckily i ended up going HTC, he has been a bit annoyed with it, some random freezes, and when talking, the phone will sometimes mute or hang up because of his ear pressing the touch screen.

I've got the HTC Desire Z, same story basically. It's the first smartphone i've bought and i love it. My sister got herself a new blackberry. She's got less apps, her internet is a LOT slower, her data limit is lower and she pays more.
As for the HTC Desire Phones, they do come with quite different specs. Before buying i'd always suggest checking out (a few) hands on reviews, to make up your own mind.
galaxy s 2 is a screamer. fast, thin, and takes great photos and video. the sensation is also a great phone tho it does have some hiccups sometimes. both are a great choices.

Get the sensation, HTC phones always have nice sturdy feels to them.
I have an HTC inspire and I love it.
The sensation is new, so there may be some bugs but, it has the newest version of android, and has a slew of new features. Updates can always fix the bugs as well.
looks like its HTC Sensation Galaxy S 2 HTC Desire S Z or HD
as far as i know.... desire s is the original desire with some upgrades.. Pretty much Z has a physical keyboard Yep. And a newer generation processor + better battery HD has a larger screen and better camera. the HD has the same, newer generation processor as the Desire Z, only slightly faster. It has a slightly worse battery than the Desire Z
apparently the galaxy S2 has a very plastic feel to it Personally i figured it would as well, from the way it looks. I didn't find it to bad though (As a friend of mine owns one, which i've used). HTC Phones generally do feel a lot more decent to me.
o btw... the difference per month between these phones is between $4 and $8 so really, there isnt much difference
As for the battery thing, new batteries are surprisingly cheap, you could get one for about 25 dollars (or 35 ish if you want a stronger one). So between the Desire HD and the Desire Z it's pretty much about the looks / keyboard feature on the Z and the better camera on the HD. They're about equal in speed.

Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II Samsung Galaxy S II
It's light, thin, and easy in usage (if you're familiar with samsung phones)
My only con in first instance was that batterylife is small, but hey. find a full touch phone with constant online that can run for longer than a day these days, especially with my amount of lonlelyness during the days I charge it about twice a day...
i still say Galaxy S II. its screen is amazing. it may be plasticy but its sold. its got a blazing fast dual core 1.2 Ghz processor. it also has a Hspa+ radio so it supports "4G" which a lot of carrier around the globe are starting to adopt.
Plus swype, which is a bit to get used to, but it works well once you've done the tutorial.AND with the plug in out is easy when you run out of power because it has the same plug in as most Blackberries and otherSamsung phones. Although it's out of power quickly you can almost always find someone with a compatible recharger plug in.

Bolded part has more to do with the contract/company and not the phone itself.

In the Netherlands at least, 'Blackberry Internet' Always comes with half the data limit and no option for a higher speed. It also Always costs more, doesn't matter with what provider you'd pick. Which is one of the main reasons i consider blackberry's to be a waste of money. If they offered a far better product it might be worth paying more for while getting slower internet / lower data limit. I personally don't find 'pinging' to be of such value to make up for that. Blackberry phones come with far slower processors as well in general.
Not trying to hate on blackberry here, If people have blackberry phones because they simply like the look, or their better security, that's of course fine.
I just upgraded my phone and plan. Galaxy s II kicks-ass. Even though it's so flimsy and thin and plasticky, I'm in love with it. Snap on a body glove hard plastic case and voila. If you want i can upload some pics later.
Shit is nice... fast, elegent, and syncs with all my shit perfectly.
It's kinda weird though, the T-mobile version comes with a 1.5 Ghz processor. I like the NFC being included too. Overall, great phone so far.

I'm not a fan of the back and the plastic. I went from the Samsung Behold (yea it's old) to the Galaxy S2, and I gotta say, I rather have the heftiness of a nice aluminum back. Taking the back off on the galaxy feels like i'm doing surgery. So scared the plastic little prongs will break >_<.

i got the sensation about 2 months ago now and i love it, not had a single problem with it other then the usual android open apps problem but that was easy to fix, i give it an easy 9/10,
galaxy sII is a good choice i didnt go for it mainly due to the fact it didnt feel right in my hand, sensation is a much nicer phone in that regard and it also been a bit newer, not compared specs though both are top range phones the difference in performance prolly wont much difference tbh, but sensation is very nice, feels strong dropped it once or twice now no damage also stepped on it once and shit myself but literally no damage its mostly got a aluminium or steel case its some kind of metal anyways
go the shop though look at both play on some apps and write an email on them in the shops see which feels best for you, the sensation as i said felt nicer its curved edges feel better in your hand

I agree with Wong. The sensation felt nicer, fancier, and stronger.
I was going to go with the sensation if they had given the me discount price, but since I had to pay full price for both phones, the difference was only $30. I figured meh, go for the better one since it has 1gb ram vs the 768mb on the sensation and the NFC tag in the galaxy's battery. The sensation also came with 1gig of memory vs 16gig on the galaxy. Also the camera is better on the galaxy and the screen is just sooo damn pretty >_<.
Here's the case they gave me with the phone: Back:
Spoiler!
Front(can't really see it)
Spoiler!
I feel much safer with that case.
Note: pics are from interwebs, not me.

I like how their backdrop is a rage case.
Anyways, yea check out bestbuy they sometimes has sales on phones for a penny, and so do other big websites.
I decided to upgrade to the Inspire when it was being sold for a penny at best-buy. and im currently saving up money to buy an AT&T phone that gets 4.0 if the inspire doesn't.
