How to get a Dragon to land as a melee character.
1. Make sure you find an area big enough for it to actually land. 2. Find a pillar, tree, or anything that you can hide behind that's immediately within or next to the clearing. 3. Hide behind it every time the Dragon comes near. Eventually he gets confused and lands. 4. Kick his ass for wasting your time with the damned flying around.
Doesn't always work though if there's no obvious clearings nearby. I had one show up while I was climbing a mountain, so I finished climbing the mountain, and headed towards the nearest dungeon. They almost always have bandits or something outside of them, and often, somehow, a clearing near the doorway. Bandits help kill Dragon, the clearing gets it to land. You kill everyone, win/win/win.

My only dragon solo kill was in a tower. I would stay on the stairs looking up and when the dragon landed on the tower, i could shoot at him with my bow and when he breathed flames on me i could just strafe a little to get a bit of the tower roof in front of me and i didn't get burned. Then the dragon took off again and landed on the clearing by the tower, there i just shot as many arrows as i could into him while standing on the tower myself. When he took off again to pass over the tower, i just ran back to the stairs and waited for him to land on the tower again. It was quite boring, but effective. Usually when i get a dragon on me, i lure it to the nearest village/keep if there is any nearby. With the guards attacking them, it goes a lot faster. Once a dragon killed the blacksmith in Riverwood. But the ppl at his house didn't even notice it.

Easiest dragon kill for me was on my way back to whiterun from riverwood. Dragon got into a fight with a giant. Giant punched it in the face a few times and it died. I ran up and got the soul from it. Win.

I'm enjoying the game more on Expert than on adept.
Currently dual wielding upgraded Orcish swords and a power attack just slices through the poor Stormcloak soldiers.

You're probably sick, just click any shrine to remove it.
And yeah, I think expert is the best difficulty. It punishes you for stupid mistakes and you have to kinda learn fights to survive, but it's not the sadistic unload 100 arrows into every boss to take it down to 50% hp or kite basic enemies like bandits across 5 rooms waiting for magicka to come back so you can heal up. Though I heard it gets to be super easy later, dunno if that's true, if it is just switch to master, good thing about their difficulty system.

Click a shrine, fastest one I think is dragon's reach => go down stairs => shrine of talos behind talos shouting dude
Bears are probably the hardest fight in the whole game, if you don't count mage + meat since that's not 1v1

Ok this game is great and all but there are 2 major, major things wrong with it. 1. You don't leave footprints 2. In the Dwarven places when you open a double door, the left side opens slower than the right
I mean seriously, Bethesda did really great and all but those 2 things really irritate me..

You'd think that an RPG of Skyrims caliber would at least give your character some kind of default voice. Even GW2 (an MMO) has them.

Keeping notes on the tips. Will try them out when I find a dragon that's unwilling to land. .Ex wrote: You'd think that an RPG of Skyrims caliber would at least give your character some kind of default voice. Even GW2 (an MMO) has them. There's a lot of little things that Bethesda could have added into the game that's standard in other games. Even Aion has more body customization than Skyrim. You'd have to wonder what they had to prioritize above these cosmetic improvements. There's always modding.

Alright, well... Does anybody know what the disadvantages of "looking sick / not so good" is?

It's impossible to kite them cept jumping on rocks and their alertness is super high; might be because I play a sneaky character, can never get the backstabs so it takes 30-40 hits to kill.

If you didn't know if you combine cold and shock enchantments on a weapon both are raised quite a bit. It goes from each individually giving you something like 42 damage to 69 I believe for each effect ( so in total you are looking at 138 extra damage per swing ).
For those looking at melee weapons go for 1 handed maces, it provides almost the same damage as 2 handed but it is a lot faster and the shield perk is pretty cool, it also a lot more accurate when it comes to landing power shots. I tested maces against axes and swords and it had by far the most damage for those wondering that.

I like the fact that my character doesn't speak, voice animation is usually done so terribly when the physical appearance of a character is completely customisable. Besides, my imagination does a pretty good job.

What dual dagger perk o.O, could only find a default dual wielding perk that seems to apply to every weapon.
@ Prophet: maces ignore 75% of armor all the time according to the description, not a chance effect.

@ Prophet: maces ignore 75% of armor all the time according to the description, not a chance effect. I assume he means the 15 times the damage on sneak attacks which becomes even more ridiculous with the double sneak attack from the dark brotherhood gloves. Sneak attack with daggers for 30 times the damage xD. About maces: not all enemies wear (good) armour so it's situational. Personally I prefer swords. They're faster and lighter so less stamina usage for power attacks. And I don't enchant my weapons with elemental damage. 1 sword with soul trap and the other with absorb health.
