says the op axe warrior on salvation that dealt more damage then my wizard did and ksed me at a unique once... i had +5 staff and you have +3 or +4 axes... yeah that was the main reason i quit salvation was because a warrior could out damage a wizard.
you cant rape with anything if you know how to play it... a warrior/cleric could always kill a wizard no matter how many skills he had. warriors were just that much stronger naturally then any other class

I fail to see that as a valid argument, there could have been multiple deciding factors. How many times did you zerk, how many times did he, were his stats on the axes better than yours on your staff, did you both have DS, did he crit every other attack, etc. I KS'd 2 rogues with 11D xbows on Salvation with an NPC xbow at Togui, no DS, one zerk, maybe two. Why? I got lucky with my crits. I KS'd a guy (BlackVanity) with +9 axes on a unique with +7 axes. Why? Well he sucked, but more importantly the stats on my axes were better.
Uniques are a terrible way to judge that anyway. It comes back to knowing your build, if you know how to chain attacks in the most efficient manner, and which animations you can cut off if you time it right, you've got a big advantage right there.
That screen lead me to browse through all my Salvation screens, which made me miss the server. >.<

My axes were at least +5, later +7 then +9 and 15 (100%) crit (also naiad stone 1 or 2 crit increase). Axes are fast (4,5 combos -> high chance to crit) and also a DD crit hits damn hard (ignore defense ftw). So - I think - it's not surprising that I get a unique kill, depends on luck too, but it wasnt anything like "oh, Phaedra is here, we can just leave, he gets it anyway". But yea, I had way too much unique kill as a warrior but that might be cuz of the server population, I guess. And the fact that I'm awesome. Tasdik agrees with that too.

when you ksed me at the unique you were trying to +7 your axes when the unique spawned and it stopped and +3 or +4 when you ran out to try to get the kill. My staff was +5 with 91% magic attack and 80% reinf. We both had devil spirit suits that we both had popped. I was in life control and i zerked but i dont know if phaedra did. I doubt he zerked twice because the unique died too quick for it to be worth another zerk (thats if he had any zerk scrolls)
the method i used was either firebolt icebolt repeat (the 2nd version of ice bolt thing) or... the rotation tasdik told me about that he tested with nb and fly to see which was dealt more damage
i cant remember if it was before tasdik told me or after so i dont know... Also i was in life control.
if a wiz is in LC and spamming fire and ice nuke back to back they shouldnt be out damaged by a warrior with the same weapon stats
oh and i had full int and str on my gear and im pretty sure phaedra did too

Well, lets assume a wiz can cast on nuke ever 2 seconds, maybe 3, somewhere in that general range. Assuming you were using the first rotation, one nuke hits once, the other three times. In those 2 seconds that you're casting your nuke, a war can get off 3 4 or 5 hits depending on the skill they used, and at least another hit or two when your nuke casts. Then proceed to take into consideration that spells can't crit, and axes crit one in every three attacks or so, at least that's about what mine did on Salvation, and it seems pretty logical to me that a war could out damage a wiz even with mediocre gear. Plus this was back when axes still had bleed, condition damage counts toward your total damage, and I believe at least one axe skill has a condition for extra damage that bleed fills, and bleed increases phy damage, and I don't think it increases mag, but I might be wrong. Can't remember, haven't played a war since Salvation went down.

This server [the name or owner is unknown] seems to have a decent idea as to what needs to be nerfed. I would have gone in a slightly different direction, but eh. You can nerf Prick/Daredevil, but both classes are still OP as hell after the changes.

I'm sorry if you took that as "raging", it was just me directly calling out stupid. You need to understand how a class works before you make suggestions.
You are effectively rendering a warlock useless if you nerf their debuff probability so low. With so many clerics/sub clerics out there who are most definitely going to be buffed with holy word, by the time you get any debuffs on they are just going to be cleansed.
I played a warlock in FW on Salvation. With the higher debuff probability there, it was still difficult to get debuffs stacked on anyone because of the reasons listen above.
Warlocks are just sitting ducks without the ability to weaken their opponents. Dots and nukes are easily tanked by most classes. Debuffs and dots are the core of the class. This class was created with those two mechanics going hand in hand.
You want to drop the probability for those poor Chinese suckers? Fine. But 20% is way too low.

Here's a scenario:
I want to play a lock, I'm fighting against someone with Holy Spell adjusted to 50%, well, I can still land most, if not all of my debuffs in a few tries. Removal? I have stun, whats Innocent?
I want to play a blader, I'm going against someone with Holy Spell adjusted to 50%. Whats a debuff? I just thought these chains were for "fast damage". Holy crap one actually went...never mind, it's gone already. Yay Innocent.

Why am I being penalized for not wanting to play a class that can prevent you from doing anything (lock), a class that can spam one skill and kill anything (war), a class that just needs one KD to wreck anyone (rogue), or a class that only needs to KB you and hit salamander blow and they win (wiz). I still play Chinese for the challenge, and because I dislike playing euros, but how in hell is it logical that I should be at even more of a disadvantage against already broken classes?

You're making up hypothetical situations that wouldn't even happen in game to support your point. Your first situation is not how it would happen in game. A blader has a plethora of attacks in their arsenal to disable people (KD KDKDKDKDKKDKDKDKDKD). Locks have debuffs and dots. That is it.
The only thing clear is you are calling for nerfs against classes your preferred class can't defeat. You are not providing anything logical. Everything you suggest is purely from a blader's /China point of view.
What you are doing is crying because you can't beat everyone. Game balance is an extremely sensitive issue and your posts prove that you do not grasp that point.

Yeah, I didn't. I'm just pointing out the flaws in your terrible warlock suggestions. I actually said that warlocks could use an adjustment, just not so severe.

why should warriors be able to kill so easy? a health bound tank that eats damage without a care in the world and can deal as much damage as a nuker with almost no health.
also bladers need debuffs to kill anything, yeah they can kd but if you have RD on a cleric you can get kd stab all day and survive it =S

Fly was right when he said the game isn't balanced around 1v1.
When you adjust class balance, you need to evaluate changes from all angles. Group PVP, PVE, jobbing, etc. For example, if you nerf a warlock to make it easier for Chinese to kill them, you need to consider how that affects them in European parties, group pvp, and versus other Euros. I am not saying this or that needs or doesn't need a nerf.
Not a hard concept to grasp. If you don't get it, stay out of any balance discussions.

@penfold That firebolt-frozen spear repeat is just fine, thats what i was doing too on my wizards (almost). I always started with a meteor -> salamander blow -> frozen spear -> firebolt (if its up cuz, u know, meteor cd applies to firebolt too, if its not up i use earthquake. But it should be up since salamander blow lasts long enough). Using this method I usually got the kills on Salvation and that other server (dunno what the server name was, shaitan spawned in tomb, thats all I remember ). That server was a bit of dead but I wasnt the only DD at shaitan, but I usually got the kill, like 90% of the time.

On salvation smart wizard would never get ksed by warrior. Top of dmg dealing ladder would be like this 1.Dagger rogue 2.Wiz 3.xbow rogue. Whoever gets the kill depends on the uniqe type. For example on shinmoo wiz was losing with xbow because he wasnt able to get close and use short range nukes. On uniqes without op long range dmg or CC (which would favorite range classes) daggers would get the kill every time, right after that wizards leaving warriors far behind. On something like LY you had way more factors that come into play. Wiz couldn't just stand near in LT and spam short range nukes combined with fire bolt/frozen, and dagger on DD would die or get CC'd alot so those were fair game for few classes. You could get unlucky and eat 9 out of 10 kb/kd he throws at you while others are doing dmg. Charged squall is key in dmg dealing on uniqes with wiz. It hits 3 times on normal mobs and 6 times on uniqes. That's 6 chances for dmg ignore and even without that it's doing most dmg out of all nukes.

Never used, I actually didnt know that it's good. I always thought that charged squall is just like shield crush, only good for getting some space. So I never used on uniques due to its high mana cost (if there's no pard it matters) and the fact that I still think it doesnt do much dmg.
I think that it does more damage if it can't KB the mob. So, because uniques can't be KB'ed, it deals a lot of damage on them. But the downsides are MP consumption and range.
