I need a lil help here, and since all the pros hang out here, I hope I can find some.

Me and my girlfriend share our SRO character. She practically played from lvl 1 to 25-ish, then when she went back to Indonesia she couldn't get online often so I started playing more.

Thing is, at the beginning (where both of us have no idea of an MMORPG gameplay, and the closest RPG for me is the Fallout series), we had no clue of stat points, pure or hybrid characters and what-nots, so the stat points got accumulated until we're lvl 20-ish (yeah she played until that lvl with no stat pt increase). She did add a few here and there just to feed her curiosity (i think about 3-4 pts on both STR and INT). Then when she asked one of the guild member about stat points, he said add it all to STR, which she did, but at the same time she added about 6 point to INT.

now the character is at lvl 39, killing is a bit slow but it's still okay, but the HP is good, MP is significantly lower. For more details the character stats are as below:

Level: 39
HP: 3585
MP: 1936
STR point: 160 (168 with all the STR enhanced equipments)
INT points: 70 (81 with all the INT enhanced equipments)
Phy. Atk: 417 ~ 471
Mag. Atk: 387 ~ 430
Phy. Def: 231
Mag. Def: 344
Phy. Balance: 94%
Mag: Balance: 44%
Hit Ratio: 170
Parry Ratio: 174
Weapon: Blade
Armor: Garment

Question is, is this build messed up? or should I just continue adding my future stat points to STR? Are these tell tale signs that I should go hybrid?

Please advise on the measures I should take to correct my build.

Thank you in advance.

PS: what is parry ratio anyway?

Maybe you should be a STR Nuker like me and you shall become infamous :)

Parry ratio is the opposite of attack rating... the higher the value is, you will take damage on the lower end of the damage spectrum from the enemy.

from what i've heard str hybirds are baddies in pvp

im not sure if int hybirds are any good at pvp, but i think they are alright... maybe if u start adding all points to int, and make an int hybird? lol im not sure

well, I'm not really interested in pvp, so the build can omit that feature for certain....

I think your only option is to become a STR hybrid. get some good gear and youll do fine, there really is no "perfect build" (though im sure quite a few people on this forum are going to flame and say that their own build is the best). Keep pumping Str every time you level from now on.

so does this mean I just add future stat points to STR and get gears riddled with INT and STR increase?

option 1: continue with this char and add str
result: str hybird = shit

option 2: add int from now on
result: int hybird = not bad

option 3: reroll char add to one stat only
result: pure str or pure int = pwnage char

Option 3 is start playing all over again right?
well, can't do that....time's not by my side and I really hate going back to the starting line, so I'm gonna have to work with this char. Besides...I like the character. It holds sentimental values.

exactly, your going to be looking for +3-4str on all of your jewelery and garments (You should be wearing garments because your more of a str build). I also hope your using a glavie, start looking for a lvl 42 +3 moon glavie too for the next degree. You also want to have perry ratio increases on your garments if you can find them, and plus all your gears to two (which is a safe bet, if you try for 3 it will probably cost you a fortune).

There's a secret formula to it but don't want to post it on the forum or cloneboy "deathtoall" will re-roll another character copying my name again. lol

it seems i made a mistake in my options, if u add int from now you will be shittyer
u will have
201 str
234 int
phy bal 71
mag bal 67, at level 80

now, your only option is to go full str from now
lol

ahahahaha...aight, got it.

Since your a blader, Im going to suggest that if you dont already have electricity imbue, that you switch. Electricity lowers your opponents parry ratio, which inversely increases the chance for them to be knocked down. You want to use knock down and stabs to your advantage, trust me, they will save you and win a lot of battles for you.

He has 94% str balance, therefore, with str gear, it will be a good build

option 2: add int from now on
result: int hybird = not bad

lvl 39 is too late for int hybrid, unless this character gets to 80 with tons of int gear, it will still be almost equal-ish, about 70% to 70%

option 3: reroll char add to one stat only
result: pure str or pure int = pwnage char

pure str or pure int are not the necessarily the best, and what if he doesn't wanna reroll?

my comments are added in bold, sry if I'm repeating, I only read first few posts >.<

ggkyo, bluey, death2U and Shimohime:

Thanks a lot for your insights.

So far STR is the logical choice, but I'm open to more suggestions, like gear enhancements, imbues and anything that can improve the build.

Nope im 100% sure that it affects your ability to knock down players, ive had almost 100% knock downs on players who are higher levels than me where a fire blader can hardly match 50%

maybe just pure luck, cuz form what've heard, parry increases the dmg they take

Parry ratio is a defensive measure on your garments and armor, if thats lowered, your more susceptible to everything, such as more damage and being knocked down even more.

str hybrid spear isn't all that bad you know... :) I've seen some awesome str hybrids so if you don't want to reroll just continue keeping a str hybrid, maybe put the vast majority into str from here though.

hmmm intresting.... >.>

Yup, each imbue has its advantages and works differently with each build, glavies want fire because it does the most damage with the least elemental damage, because they can take alot of hits. Hybrids for the most part will do best with electricity, along with bladers and sword nukers, because you can knock down people more easily. Ice of course has the most elemental damage when it freezes you, and completely resets an attack if you were frozen during one, but of course its draw is that it does the least amount of damage.

meh i might be wrong, all I know is I always see people with electricity knocking people down far more than any other imbue.

Fire is best choice because
1. It has the highest magical damage than the other two elemental trees
2. gives dot(damage over time) on monsters in pve which is useful
3. cause the final book looks good :D

Fire is a must for all builds no matter what, even the skill tree is essential if you want immunity to ice/fire/light etc, and higher mag damage, ice imbue and lighting imbues are unfornately obsolete in higher lvls so you might want to think about that, bladers don't need ice because of the massive def with the shield and blocking ratio, but it's optional anyways, just add pure str all the way you should be fine, worry about alchemy at the higher lvls and your set...about the probablity of the knockdown it all depends on lvl of the skill, for example...
maxed out 1st book has 50% probablity on lvl 53 and below, so it all depends on the person of the lvl and the lvl of the skill and book of the knockdown

okay heres the problem. your stats are leading you to a STR hybrid which is overall not too powerful.

there have been suggestions of you putting everything into INT from now on, but i quoted you on the fact that you didnt have "time on your side" and you realize putting everything from lvl 30ish to level 80ish into full INT would take probably a year of grinding. a FREAKING YEAR.

so i say choose....

1. STR hybrid (add ALL STR from now on) = suck.

2. INT hybrid (add ALL INT from now on) = great build but will take you FOREVER

3. start over = you dont want that because it was your gf's char and you hold sentimental values as you both shared it with passion and love.

i say choose...quit game.LOL>
