Soy milk is the devil, seriously.
Soy also isn't as healthy as most people want to make it seem.
I try to avoid soy based foods, and have never drank soy milk in my life. The day I drink soy milk will be the day I find a sosun on sro

Of course, you have to take these internet sites with a grain of salt. A lot of it is just hysteria. The things that concern me the most are the fact that milk is actually a terrible source of calcium and leads to a greater chance of osteoperosis later in life, and the common sense question of why you'd want to drink something formulated to transform a 200-pound calf into a half-ton adult cow? Unless of course you are the former and/or fantasize about being the latter.

I wasn't raised drinking milk. I was slightly lactose-intolerant as a child, which is not uncommon, and mostly disappeared during grade school. It was all skim in my house, 2% at school. I don't enjoy drinking milk of any kind, although once in a great while I enjoy the classic milk and cookies. So I'm less attached to it than some people who were literally indoctrinated into a milk habit (heh, that sounds so antagonistic).

Despite all this, I have milk in my cereal every morning and I eat dairy when I feel like eating dairy. Just because some day we discover that there's a carcinogen in milk won't mean suddenly everyone starts getting cancer. I just think people should know that the truth is far, far from the "wonder-beverage" image that the industry pushes, and in which so many people believe.

Oh the sweet cavity goodness  Abstained from ultra-sweet cereals for almost a year now. Just too much sugar (Cinnamon Toast Crunch *ugh*)

I've always wondered about that too, why are we drinking cow milk :?
All I drink is skim. Can't stand whole milk at all.

I thought bake was digging that doublecross 'got milk' thread.

I drink milk, sometimes, when I feel like I should be more healthy. :)

I drink milk cos I think it tastes good, not cos I think it's healthy. Thanks for the info though bake. Not that I'll stop drinking milk, or slow my rate of milk-drinking down.

Honestly...there's not much better than that first half a cup gulp of milk after your first few bites of food.
