Just a few observations as of late. And I kinda feel like less and less people are playing on Greece (and based on some of the posts, clearly other servers as well). Here is what i've noticed:

I haven't had trouble logging on in the middle of the day the past 3 days (It used to take me at leats 5 attempts before I could get in)

The amount of global chat has drastically lowered (no more "WTS" "WTB" globals; I used to have to switch to my guild chat just to get away from all the nonesense).

The amount of stalls in DW and especially Jangan have decreased a lot (It used to be very difficult to get through the cities with all the people in it, now it's not so bad)

Prices have dropped A LOT. I'm actually upset about that. I invested early and now everything is dropping in price. I remember 2 weeks ago a single weapon elixer was averaging 290k, usually closer to 300k. Now they're selling for as low as 150k a piece. I couldn't believe it. My SOS+3 bow was originally selling for 8.5mil, and went up to about 10m, now I can't even sell it for 5.5mil (trust me, i've been trying for the past 3 days). I had a lot of money invested that I'm taking a huge loss on because everything is cheaper. This isn't just the server economy changing, it's a lack of need and competition. I saw some guy selling 3 SOS farming bows for a pretty high price, but still worth it (all of them were SOS +5, full blue, high crits) and he didn't sell one of them in 16 hours. I still don't know if he's sold any yet. But no one's even offering. There's simply no one buying.

I've seen multistar trades from lvl 2x's that make it alone from Jangan to DW. No help at all. And they didn't get attacked by any thieves? What's up with that. Last week I got popped by 4 different thieves doing a 1 star trade. Now no one?

The usual cape fight is now taking place every hour or two instead of being a constant scene.


I don't know if everyone is just higher levels and I don't see them, but it seems like so many people have left. I don't even see a whole lot of bots anymore either. That's nice. I actually got 3 "thank you's" today just for putting up a harmony circle around some guys killing a giant. That never used to happen. It always used to be a bot... or at least some guy with no common courtesy.
I dunno, what do you all think? Does it seem like more people are quitting than are actually joining the game? I know this topic has kinda been brought up before, but not specifically to Greece.

I love these new servers, just what we needed.

Its just a replacement of the problem. All the good guys from Greece are going away or even quit. Look at our union (endless union) pritty dead right now.

I just started a guild in Greece and i got a SOS bow +2 there and more stuff ...I don't wanna go back now.

well but then again if everyone is botting, it's finally the right time for you guys who desired all those years to become high lvl traders run 5*, b/c noone will be there to stop you:D.. wanna race who's first to hit lvl 10 trader?

The high lvl players botters. Well i did a trade Yesterday with a lvl 34 (somthing around that lvl) and we did a 5 star trade. And we made it pritty easly. Was the first time.

I can agree with the # of thieves around, I was hunting last night, and only saw 3 low level noob thieves. Takla is still full of bots with more and more popping up each day, as are the caves.

Indeed, caves lag likes hell right now. Arround 4 sec lag. Not even posible to grind there.

The theory that all went to Pacific is so false....I think pacific is the most deserted server ever. During peak times i logged in 1 try and only 2 pages of party match whilst other server might have 4 at that same time period. In conclusion i postulate that silkroad in general is dying!

who cares lol, I'd rather play all alone on a server than with other 300000000000000000001 people in there. And lvled up my way. and then just moved on with trading and it would be prolly sad and boring but then again someone else would join and we might have some fun that's the basic of playing to have fun and make friends..

unfortunatelly, in the world of hate and where everyone hurry somewhere, they don't have time to stop and be friends ;o

true i left greece server a month ago to play on Eldorado

i got sick of Elite_Diebe hackers and stupid Turks and Kuwaits ppls and Guilds

most ppls r inactive and most of my friend already switched to Eldorado &those who resisted r now switching to pacific

Greece will fade and so will be the old servers cuz joymax is continuously adding servers without fixing the old ones' problem

I noticed a lot of the globals yesterday about the lag. Everyone was complaining saying that the GM's should fix the lag in the caves. But there really aren't a whole lot of people. Last night my friend made a solo trade run from Hotan almost all the way to Jangan without seeing a single thief. She ended up getting torn by a high level thief sitting at the north bridge, but other than that, she saw nothing. She made 3 successful trade runs just before that. The past few days though, I haven't seen a single hunter... not one. I've seen maybe 4 or 5 thieves. And only a few traders have gone by. I was just pounding away at gunpowders and had no problem at all which surprised me. Seeing as there's a 3x repeatable quest for them and I could kill them without being ks'ed or not having any space. I had plenty of room to do what I wanted. I guess we'll all see what happens. I'm staying in Greece cuz all my friends are still there and my guild is slowly working it's way up.

greece is dead, elite diebe R.I.P they are a dead guild now. D34tH quitted along with Death2all and PoseIdon the hacker. So now we can enjoy the empty boring Greece server which has no fun at all... All the cool high levels also quitted or moved to a diff server.

but to be honest sro sucks better quit then spend 24/7 on another server. + some chinese fat kid died playing online games for 7 days non-stop so watch out fat kids playing sro like crack heads.

D34th and poseidon and SekLexy and 5m0k3 have all been hacked and most other players level 70+ have aswell. Most people are scared to even play there since so many were hacked and their junk taken.....

The game is slowing down when JM doesn't open another server for atleast 6 months. The game is "dying" when JM starts sending you notices to pick your 1-3 favorite chars and which of the few servers they plan to operate on for them to go too so they can save money.
