I agree =( If ppl can cheat with the *cough* b-word-that-ends-with-t *cough, don't want this locked up*, they would love to really skrew up the economy. If they do a Open Beta in jSRO I'll go and see.

Hmm what about unions? Wouldn't it make more sense to have them controlling the fortress?

+1 lol this game always gets destroyed by something or another be it joymax, gold buying, or w/e it gets destroyed it doesn't make a difference, lol. I like this idea, it's gonna be fun, I don't care if botters will have more chance cause their higher the cap will be there for a while, when legit hit the cap we'll have a chance at this to so i'm not worried and besides, it's all fun anyway, i'm gonna enjoy trying to take over teritories.

btw I thought it was with union rather then just seiging it with clan only?

Yeah, I think unions doing it would be better, on a biger scale also....

It wont be like that. Certain items can acquire tax. The tax can go from 0%-7%, This is tax on items such as wepons and gear. Stalled items have no tax and same with pots and essentials such as trade horse/flag/pots/repair. The tax amount is acquired over time and is used for the fortress, to build more buildings and so forth, after a while the leader of the fortress can turn off the tax or keep it. But the citizens(players) have the right to rate the performance of the leaders, and based on your performance you have different items available to build, so if your performance is poor, then you build weeker and a numbered amount of buildings, if you are rated as "excelent" by your citizens then the selection of buildings and amount of structures changes greatly.

this keeps it more fair, so if Botter get in control the citizens can give a performance rating and this can hinder the strenght of the fortress and its defense for when there is another war for the throne.

Hope that explains somethings, and BTW a friend emailed that info from Hanoi, so i guess it should be right :)

But exactly the same way around. Botters can rate legits badly too.

The ratings were only implimented so that there would be constant wars, Ie;Legit comes into power, botter rates him badly. or vice versa, And aswell, this update is meant for kSRO, where botters are more rare then sosun. So I am expectiong for iSRO to be bot free or botting be made to minimal by the time this update is out. And this update is months if not years away. We first need 90 cap and europe.

The PvP cities that you guys spoke of arent PvP cities. They are Union arenas. When you go to your guild NPC and click on him there is a selection "Enter union path" And you teleport to a city, kinda like the Thief town. In here you have an arena where you can Guild war on a large scale and can dominate sections. Towers, artilery and so forth. Diferent towers provide different buffs and increase in healing rates. Artilery lets you increase damage and certian srtileries " Legend 3" can summon "earth". w/e that mean. Its what I was sent thru the email, im still piecing parts together and will post in the update section.

the best botting guilds (Dignity+Shu on Troy) will dominate that fortress

unless like if joymax makes a certain limit on how long a certain guild can occupy it.

5 rolldowns, what ever that means, I think it means if the gate/tower is destroyed 5times then anybody can come and take it over including the old leaders.

Before SRO I played KalOnline.

KalOnline has always had a castle siege system and I must admit it is the pinnacle of enjoyment in the game.

The main reason I played Kal and not SRO was because of this castle siege ssytem...

HOWEVER... I look at my union which, however hugely biased my opinion is, I believe is one of the strongest NON-BOT unions in the server RedSea... I look at us and realise we will never ever come close to winnign a siege war in SRO.

If JM implement this Siege War and do not fix the bot problem then I guarantee you the minority of legit players left will quit.

It is bad enough that my union can make a union trade run of 20+ ppl and be owned by 3-4 level 80 full farmed botters let alone trying to fight a whole union of 80 botters.

anyway, that siege thing sounds pretty intense... at least it would give something else to do instead of grind... or the lower lvl uniques that get camped by 8th degrees all the time...

That's because you never go to their private SRO forums and see what they say about Bots, GameOn (Their SRO Company which ppl call GayOn with :love: ) and all that stuff. In fact jSRO puts more priorities on players who buys silk. Players are given a special "note" to contact GM depending on how much silk they buy.

But I don't wanna ruin your dreams :P You know what they say, the other guy's girlfriend always looks prettier. Unless you try jSRO you won't know what its like.

And i still believe the fortresses will change owners enough
there are enough legit unions out there and there will be alliances just to get a botter union out of it

If they do this, why dont we form the best union in each server, and they will choose a guild for the fortress. We can get all the ppl you trust! And each server will benifet from this because if the union is good it will make the game better, and also you will not have to wrry about someone screwing with the prices. Also, you can make better trade runs, so that everyone who is playing will earn more going town to town, and the BOTS CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!!! This will be aswome!
