i see silkroad take more and more CPU ressource even a pc with 1Giga ram and a 2.4ghz, silkroad take 300 mg of ram and 100% CPU process.

So they should maybe rewrite they code to make it less even if it's running behind all programs it's take all cpu o_o.

what do you think of it?

Yes I want them to.
But they would never do that.
Its 300mb of ram usage is messing up my iTunes :( .

so if anybody has the same thing tell me.

Umm, I have:

Core2Duo E6600 (2.4ghz)
2GB of Patriot DDR ram
and a pretty crappy x800 video card

I ran 5 clients without lag....it's just that most people who play this game aren't up to "gaming" standards :P

1000Mhz cpu, 384MB mem, gf4 ti 64MB video. I only had problems when i was too lazy to install proper gfx drivers, m$ drivers simply fail to deal with shitty korean code at some resource intensive spots in game.

So why post?

Anyway, I have 1 gig of 2100(SLOW) ram and a 2.7 (celeron, SLOW) processor and I run just fine, can run itunes fine, but I usually play music on my laptop anyway.

100% CPU usage
2.8gHz p4
1GB RAM
256MB nVidia GeForce FX5500

Not to mention there's a memory leak. :banghead:

But only uses ~10% CPU when in the background.

I noticed that my SRO CPU usage when it's in the background depends on how I sent it to the background. If I Alt-Tab to Firefox, then SRO's CPU usage is low, and I don't see any movement in the SRO display. However if I hit the Windows key and click the Firefox button on the taskbar, then SRO's CPU usage remains high, and I see people moving around in the SRO display.

So when I want to leave my stall open and get on with using my PC, I always make sure I switch out of SRO by Alt-Tabbing. Alternatively if I just want to AFK in Hotan for a while, but still notice text in the chat-box, or uniques spawning, I switch with the Windows key so that the SRO display keeps updating.

(That's with Windows Vista, and other people have mentioned not noticing the difference on their PCs.)
