Everyone knows I am a well known botter. After these recent bans on Xian and Aege, a couple of my friends decided to lay low. What do botters do when they don't bot? Well lets just say -- we prove Joymax really isn't trying to fix the bot problem.

Through use of an account that will remain unnamed (other than the inclusion that it does have GM in its character name) and an hour of free time we were able to compile this video footage which doesn't include but about 20 minutes out of our total time spent bot hunting. Basically we said to hell with the Joymax system of detecting bots and went about it our own fast paced way. This video shows people who have the bot set to DC or return scroll. Also it shows whether they have it set to a range or a GM notice/PM. This is in no flame towards the botters, just towards Joymax which first failed me (yes at one time I was legit and hated botters -- after being outleveled day and night by them, I joined them)

Anyways, things to remember when watching the video.

The "GM" in this video is not a real GM and can not ban, but to the bot they are all the same.
This only shows a little clip of how quick we were catching people with alot skipped due to filesize made by Fraps.
We managed to DC roughly 100-150 within 1 hr just on Athens server.
I showed our "GM" dying to prove he wasn't real.

@bplease: go stand at the east/west gate off hotan... just stand there for an hour and fraps... every bot that wants to go out gets dc'ed or scrolls back in circles, over and over again

ooh there are a lot of ways for them to catch bots, but it was honestly our purpose to make a mockery of their system in place now...I mean in 1 hr we caught easily 150+ vs the average of probably 20 per gm per hour. They wait like 5 minutes to have someone respond when they could easily ban those that honestly don't know how to config a bot and spend a lot less time. Honestly it was disappointing though because all the bigname botters had their configs right and didn't dc. What does that tell you about Joymax? -- to me it says they spend too much time trying to act like they are actually doing something by not banning the masses but banned the most popular to appease the public, but in the end people are more pissed about being ksed or having no place to train than that lvl 80 that killed them in a job war because they botted to 80...

What I'm wondering about: How did you make a char with GM in it? I once tried to make a char which had a random g and m following and it didn't let me create it ... I didn't understand why until I noticed the gm in the middle of it <.<

guys it was just to show how easy it is to do this, the botters know how to fix this but some just don't for some reason. Why should they, they don't get banned
