If I just joined a new server, and didn't know anyone and just wanted a guild, I'd joined the one with the coolest Emblem/name

Well, I'd choose a guild with my friends, especially if they are close to my lvl and play at the time of day when I usually play....
And if there's no such guild, I just go to one with many active people.
EDIT: and yea, the name of guild is important to me too to some extent.... i guess i'm a bit snobish here

I'm the same way. The first guild I joined in Venice was a group of people from a Myspace group actually, that wanted to start an SRO guild. It died pretty quickly, and I moved to my current guild because 2 of my IRL friends were in it. They quit a while back, but I've made online friends in the guild so it's alright

u should make a poll asking why do people create a guild. I did it to have an extra 4 page of storage space, recruit cool people, and also to pwn the whole server (undefeated in guild wars)

A good friendly guild, everyone in it is kind to everyone, and you have fun hanging out with them even if you win or lose pvp or guild wars with them.

A good guild for me needs...
1.) Lots of drama. E-Drama is hilarious and fun. It's not hard to find here on Olympus, so on to #2.
2.) Some random kid invited and kept as a guild pet.
3.) A guild name that isn't in 1337 or those annoying AlTeRnAtInG cApS. <_<
4.) Cheesepie. Not cheesecake! Cheesepie.
5.) A girl everyone thinks is really a guy. Can be considered part of #1.
6.) A union with lots of idiots to make fun of in it. Also not hard to find here on Olympus.
7.) A hardcore grinder from Finland who speaks broken English and cusses a lot. Crazy/angry Finns ftw.
8.) A leader with the balls to kick people who become problems.
