If you are level 24, you have passed the time for farming at 16.
If you try to level with a 4/5 gap you will end up quitting in the 40's -> 50's. IMO the gap should be either 9 (for farming) and 0 (for leveling)
You could farm at level 32 now. Stop leveling your skills and level to 32 with a 0 gap and raising only one mastery (without adding any skills).
When you hit lv 32, borrow/buy a SoS 32 weapon. Delefel the mastery you leveled back to 23. Then farm at the scorpions/flowers.

Okey...So I should have on mastery that's gapped at 9 and one at 0?
Wait what's the point in leveling one mastery if I'm not gonna add skills then deleveling it?

To get to level 32 faster and not wasting your time training with an increasingly higher gap.
Now you have heuk 23. Level it to 24. Don't add or upgrade any skills.
Everytime you level, raise heuk but again, do not add any skills or up anything. Once you hit 32, delevel heuksal back to 23.

It's not gonna cost that much... You only use nine cursed hearts. If you don't have money to spare, go the classic way: start opening your gap from now on, until you hit 32 with a 9 level gap.

Nice guide...I started new car yesterday now lv 14 and about 1400 sp... I follow your advice...but I think it's wery borning to play on lv 9 GAP... I can't play like that...killing tigers ande get only 20 EXP....8 never to reach lv 15... I'll try to play with 7 GAP until lv 30....so we will see... But GAP 9 ....OMG u have to be BOT and play like that...so borrning
But GAP 9 ....OMG u have to be BOT and play like that...so borrning
Or just want a kick ass character at later levels. Many people use SP calculators to find out how many SP they will need total and just farm at 9 gap until the reach that point. They then just get a 0 gap and level until they reach the level cap. Some people even leave a 9 level gap for level 80 because they can't level any higher so they gain mad sp.
ps. can anyone say sticky?

Yes I understeand that...but still... Now I farm on bandit archers....gap 9 and about 2.2k SP ....but ...
I am currently level 28 with a level 26 sword mastery, everything else is around level 23. Am I screwed? I have like 14 sp cuzz I just spent some on leveling a sword skill...
truth is i was really tired of having a 3 level gap (someone told me to do that)
and slow leveling, so I jumped my sword skill up. (i really want to reach level 32)
This guide is RETIRED -its lame and the only truth in it is: you do have a FEW extra SxP at lower levels (~10 per monster). But that aint enough -to say its the best method.
This guide is great for people who are willing to wait until they can fully develop their characters.
I have a question though, I have a lvl 22 char, Pure INT so hp is around 700 while mp is 1500, I chose a level 1 gap because it allows you to lvl faster, which for a pure INT is amazing because they lvl fast anyways. But when I get into higher levels what will I have to do about my hp, I'm wearing armor and I'm trying to use alchemy on my equipment but how much can it improve hp? People always say pure INT always completely own people at PvP because of nukes, but before they can nuke do you just wait it out, or what?
To all complaining about their character being screwed up:
It depends on your build for your character. Normal build for 2 skill trees, you only need 1-3 gap. 3 skill trees, you need like Gap of 4-5 4 Skill trees you need about 8-9 Gap.
You can start over if you really wanted 3 or 4 skill trees, but you're going to be bored as hell. Think of your character boredness right now and divide that by 100. You have no imbue until lvl 10, which is REALLY tiresome and boring. Unless u think you have the patience, don't start over.

I agree! Iv started over lots of times before, but now i tried this and lvl from 9 to 10 took me about 4 hrs total. At 10 though, you fly through the lvls cuz you can now do quests again At lvl 10 i had 610 SP, and after i got my 2 skills i got about 580 something. Now at lvl 12 i got over 810 Sp again.
I was farming on Water Ghosts from lvl 5 to 10 i think, and then went straight to Stone ghosts and Tomb stones which worked for me. Although the Water ghosts were boring Now i will definately stick with this char Thx for the guide btw!

Sorry it's a late reply...
I'm new to SRO past few weeks, and now on my 3rd char trying to get the build right. Lvl 40 in 19 days solo seems ok to me
Read up about how to do it and read all about sp farming - but with no intention of turning this into a job. I'm playing SRO for fun ffs, so levelling up and killing tougher stuff is where the fun's at
You're not screwed.
I've mainly solo'd going all the way through the Euro quests and they really do give great exp and a good working knowledge of the mobs and maps.
I think I levelled to 8 without any skills then added points to my mastery. Since then I've leap-frogged: Mastery at 8 till lvl 12 then up it Mastery at 12 till lvl 16 then up it ...and so on
I've foudn that with each successive leap I've had roughly enough sp to up most if not all my skills
Admittedly now at 40 (haven't yet upped mastery to 40), I find that I'm short on sp and I will need to farm for a while but as a rog, sungsungs are a 2-3 hit kill usually and give great exp even at current 4 gap AND since I passed lvl 38 they give lots of great drops, so good way to merch and make money too
I dont have great gear but it's OK I do have gold prem which helps, and the purification seed quest is a welcome boost I don't bot cos that just sux, and yes solo grinding can be boring, but at least the quests give a welcome break (all I've got left to do is complete the hun assault lancer one; done all the rest)
So, don't despair; keep at it and dont just keep upping your mastery because you lvl up or because you find a better weapon or armour piece (unless it's MUCH better than your current gear ) Good luck
Alright, this guide is SICK and I've basically followed it all the way thorugh. However, I chose not to do quests at all because when I farm, i get something like 64xp and 314sp on Yeohas at level 9. Quests don't even come close to this ratio.
I also chose to not level my masteries at all. So right now im at level 17 with a 17 level gap. This is giving me incredible amount of sp. I can get around 1500sp in one hour. With this, I farmed for something like two months and now I have 400,000 of sp which will last me the entire game!
I am a full strength glavie but i have a +3 SoSUN bow and a +5 SoSun glavie. I have full SoS +4 gear with +Str/+Int. I have deleveled about 13 times and now I can one-shot bandits. This is also a awsome way to make money because after two months I now have about five mil after buying all my equips. I have found several SoM, SoS and one SoSUN(my glavie). I am now ready to finally build my character!!With 0 Gap all the way to 80.

Hi all. Got a problem, i started to follow the guide, but when i reach the lvl 30, i didnt do a gap 8, but a gap of 5, so when i reached the lvl 40, i got my masterys all to the lvl 40 (Bicheon 40 / ice 40 / lighting 40/ fire 40. The problem was that i spent all my sp on the masterys but i didnt had enough sp to the skills...
the question is.. did I screw up my char? is there any solution, because even if I do again a cap of 8, do the fact that I'm lvl 42 currently, i will get much more exp than sp, for each mob.

Simply keep leveling without further increasing your highest mastery level, until all the masteries you are using are at the same level as your current highest mastery. Then you can farm, open a small gap or do whatever you want.

Of course not, don't worry. You can't really screw up your character if it's related to skills, unless you go crazy and add something which really is not useful to you, but then you could simply delevel it. By the way, there's not a 'special' formula for SP farming or gaps, you can do it anyway you want.
