for hybrid sword, would you take ice for might guard/passive or spear

this, depends on how much of a hybrid you gonna be..anything below 90% naked shouldn't be duel...

im like 89%/90% naked, currently got ice, but im wondering if i wanna pick up spear for passive over might guard (option to dual wepa is then available if i want)

but alot of people say might guard is worth it.

even if you dont want to go dual id still say spear passive over ice every time. although i wouldnt say anything below 90% shouldnt be dual, buts it up2u

85% hybrid owns all. Pure ints cant touch you, dual weapons allow you to kill str easy

ok. lol

OT: id take ice over heuksal here. and no im not going to talk about dual
weapons since i guess your question is to take either ice defense or heuksal
bonus hp.

go for ice. with ice you will use passive, buffs, skills while with heuksal you
will have only the extra hp.

I'd take the heuksal for HP over ice. Later on, ice is worthless, so you basically only have it for the extra physical defense. Leveling it up to 48 only gives 16 physical defense plus 12 passive which is nothing so you gotta take it to 68 for that 55 bonus plus passive which you don't get the nice chunk until 60 for 42 points, which is still find worthless considering most people primarily do magic attacks, even pure STR characters with their elemental imbue.

Capping heuksal at 60 gives 1078 HP, which IMO, is more important as it covers all spectrums, physical or magical attacks, plus it raises the threshold of surviving from crits and whatnot. Sure, the ice buffs may make you receive less damage over time, but in duels and whatnot and taking 1000's of dmg per hit, the HP is more important. Without that extra HP, I'd die like crazy from older people nuking or critting me, but instead, I get to survive and am allowed to pot up during the fight.

Now if this were a discussion of taking fire protection over HP, that'd be a bit different as the magical buff helps a lot more than the physical ice buff, but either way, I have both the fire buff and heuksal so I don't have to worry. :P

If you get ice will you take frost nova? It might not help much in pvp against someone who is ice immune. But while grinding it is far superior to hueksal hp or frost guard of ice.

I'm referring to the game right now. Have fun waiting around for those new skills while your current character sucks for the next many months. Not only that, good luck getting to 90 in the first place. Besides, not like it's hard to delevel skills and relearn ice if you wind up wanting those new skills.
