If you have WoW and you are paying for it, why do you keep playing silkroad if there is such a difference?

I heard about some ppl that stopped playing WoW because they had discoverd silkroad.

anyway, i would quit playing because i dont have a creditcard or anything like that :banghead:

people say they wouldnt pay because the game is not good enough, but think about it. if it goes p2p less people would be playing, therfore joymax wont have so many moronic kids complaining left, right and center so they can fix things.

i think JM might actually lose money becuase the botters and gold farmers are often the ones that buy silk

If you could login 1st time whenever you wanted then sure I'd pay, it's a fine game when you can actually get on it.

Actually it is rather a sure thing that the game will stay basically F2P. Lets look at this seriously. They are basically in competition with WoW. So they need all the edge they can get. If the game was P2P straight up and no one could get in if they didn't pay they would loose a lot of potential customers. I started playing because it was free. But I liked it enough to buy some silk. That is their target demographic. Rest assured it will always have a F2P component.

Well I still play SRO because this is the first MMO i ever played and I have very close friends who still play on the same server so I play SRO too.

There might be a lot of factors why some may of left WoW for SRO but its usually the other way around. One thing about WoW being such a huge game they cant satisfy everyone.. every patch there are buffs and nerfs to some classes which change the pvp and pve environment.

Example: A warrior in WoW can be kited by some like a frost mage but that same frost mage will have troubles against say someone like a warlock.

The PvP is not always even but some classes are made to do great in groups like warriors and some that are great for solo and in groups.

Here in SRO, PvP seems a bit more balanced.

Also some people like the PvE aspect of WoW too, easy to lvl no sp farming lol and doing instances and raids.

WoW was never intended to be a pvp game, too. The creators even mentioned this. Silkroad is more pvp influenced due to the trading system and so on.

Personally I wouldnt mind if it went p2p because I can aford it, and it would weed out alot of the botters and idiots in general.

i agree, if it went p2p i would definitely pay for it, cuz it would still be a good game, and it would get rid of alot of the people who bitch about stuff that isn't really that bad, even though botters are a huge problem, p2p would also make SRO that much better
