I gotta say though, everyone keeps saying the +5% alchemy success is some huge thing. It helps a tiny bit on stones but don't count on it to help elixer alchemy a noticeable amount. Lucky powder increases your odds by 50% at 0 -> 1, 33% at 1 -> 2, 25% at 2 -> 3, etc so 5% isn't much. I think it doubles your odds if you're going for like +9 or something but going from just about impossible to half as impossible isn't much

still about a 1 in 10 chance.

The way I see it the login thing works one of three ways, all are bad.

1. The cap on the server is raised.

2. The cap is the same, but a nonpaying player get booted for a paying one.

3. When you start a ticket, a slot is reserved for you making the number of slots on the server one less for non paying players. Example: The server is 1000 total, when a new PT is activated, that number becomes 999 slots. 1000 total, 999 for non paying, 1 for PT. When a second is purchased, it goes to 998 slots, 2 for GT, etc.

Either way it works, the "f2p" part of the game becomes more of a myth and JM is using the game's problems, ie botters and login issues, to make money off the rest of the ppl.

They compound this by screwing up the job system (a level 20 can spawn thieves bad enough to kill a lvl 80 and 25 at once?) And adding a chat filter that is insanely retarded.

F2P? since when JM cared about being free. They make the game boring and long to level to almost force you to buy GT, and picking pets to avoid getting drops yourself.
Every step they take is nearer to be P2P, you don't "need" to pay but you will be overwhelmed by people who can/want to do it (besides botters of course). So you won't be even able to play.

Anyway, i'm happy i moved to cSRO, enjoy the PT for those who buy silk. It's good to see that at least some people are getting hopes back... though there will be more angriness and unhappiness too...

If we think about Premiere "always can log in" service for a moment, the 1st folks to get it will be the botters who are willing to shell out some money to make a TON more real money from folks wanting to buy gold to get the SoX weapons the botters are selling for 500M!!! :banghead:

Now if JoyMax had a proven track record of putting money back into the game to add servers, network bandwidth, etc. to improve the overall gaming experience that would be 1 thing, but unfortunately they have not demonstrated this as yet... :cry:

A few other games have adopted Premiere like service and have created separate servers for players willing to pay. This might have been a better approach. :?:

As an international game, there are still many countries who are still unable to purchase silk. Africa and a few others. Also the service, as it is currently, is substandard and paying for it is just idiotic. Are ppl so powerless in RL that owning a little bit in a video game is enough?

Let me add that you are basically paying JM to leave the current issues, login and bots, in place.

First: of all 1000 or less banned bots in 9 months and there are like 10000 minimum ATM - yeah joly good

Second: i write slow this time - I am not talking about autologin I am talking about boters buying premium and connecting first try (or they can buy it?)

Third JM raised over 100mil US$ from SRO (world edition not ksro) and in 9 months i didnt see a freaking 1$ invested in game and gaming experience.

BTW i am buying silk, i love this game, and I HAVE RIGHT TO SAY IT'S SHT IF I WANT TO.

If they make money off crowded servers, why fix them? Most games have mutiple channel servers to slough off overcrowding. JM doesnt bother, they are gonna make MONEY from it, so leave it crowded.

TIme bot bans with new items and new servers to make money. Let them propigate inbetween "big ban lists" and let ppl get angry and frustrated in order for them to make MONEY.

Further the myth of f2p so when Joe Schmoe starts playing a game he thinks is free he ends up spending MONEY when he discovers the imbalances of the game.

They cant find the time or resources to give us an event, GMs, security, update their ToS, working game updates, bot control, over crowded server solutions, a website with even 1/8 the content of the dying KSRO, customer service, but they can certainly find ways to make more MONEY.

Don't you see? is the same as in a book/movie story or w/e the best thing to take advantage is doing bad stuff (murders, thief, betrayal, etc) with a "good/decent" mask on. That way the "villan" makes more profit. But unlike fantasy stories, the society allows and supports capitalism. Money moves the world do you like it or not (money doesn't move (all) people though).

NB is 100% spot on. Those are the reasons I did what Ryoko did. I was paying the same amount for what I saw as a sub-par game, vs one that had a ton of content, GM's who pm you within 30 minutes, and none of the problems iSRO has. I'm a lot happier, and honestly had Ryoko not posted what he posted above the seed wouldn't have been planted to make me try out "the other game".

And yeah, NB your sig *is* hawt.

EDIT: Regarding the partial job update, did they at least fix it so thieves don't spawn NPC thieves anymore? Or did popper just get a huge helping hand from JM?
