Post subject: Car pimp topic Posted: Mon Apr 30, 2007 6:14 am |

i know this artist corner is pretty focused on making/judging
sigs, but that is not really my thing
is there anybody who likes to edit cars? i used to do that a
lot on an other forum..
here is an example. this is not a "fast&furious" ride but more
a new creation, based on a chrysler sedan. the hatchback is
what i made of it.
and here is a car i hate so i had to turn it into something else
if anybody is interested, we can post one car, let people try and
pimp it the best they can, make a poll to vote for it and let the
winner post a new car pic.
just let me know if anybody feels like doing this

carbon is really tricky since you need to get the flow of
the carbon pattern right and you can make it look more
realistic if you add some reflections of the environment.
anyway id just like to see how many ppl are interested
in giving this kind of stuff a try. there can be lots of gfx
on it as in stickers, paintjobs, etc. and ppl can choose to
copy paste bumperkits from existing cars (or replace the
whole front) or brush everything themselves.

Only problem with the car sin is the tires are too large.
The back wheels would rub on the side of the wheel well and the front wheels would tear off the body kit if it went to steer around a corner.
good work but think " is this functional" before making it and look at refs a tad bit more. I'm sure you could go somewhere if you brushed up on it.

There is no real prize yet.. this is more the try out.
normally, what we do is that the winner gets
1) honor
2) gets to choose new car to pimp

you can put it in a complete new background if you want.
thats what i always do. but then you get different reflections..
just do whatever you feel like doing. its the end result that counts

WOW yes i know.. im not that good in finding good rims for the cars that is one of my weakest points on this the rim is also a bit bad shaped because the top spokes are longer than the lower ones. just something i dont always spend too much time on exality wrote: fu*k this i quit lol mine were nothing as good as that
dont do that
post yours. im serious. howd you think i got to this level.. i started
smudging monster bumpers and turning cars purple >_<

next time i wont make the first post.. i just want ppl to join us in
this so in the end we get like 10 high quality, completely different
style cars. post the civic when you are done with it. the best way
to learn this is to get good critic and tips.
