Hey, hey you, stop looking at the shiny "rampage" and start here lol. I hate to post this cuz as soon as people get the bright idea that you can kill anyone with it, Joymax will prolly fix it...but in the meantime, let's kill some bots dammit. The best way to kill is a bot is to get monsters to do it for you. Wouldn't it be nice if you made bots so weak that monsters completely owned them? Well that's simple with a glitch I found (though others found b4 me) that let's you do just that without turning pink.
Vital spot is an aggressive skill that reduces the target's parry ratio A LOT. If you've never used it, it makes a pretty noticeable difference. You can hold alt and attack someone with it and your cursor will turn red over them and one more click without alt will swing at them and it wears off after about 15 seconds but UH OH no pink lol. Bad joymax programmers!
Well anyway, someone just gave me the bright idea to get a bunch of people together who have vital spot and all attack a bot with it at once and let the monsters they're fighting do 2x or more damage to them until they totally die when 2 or 3 fight them at once. Sounds like a bot hunting good time. I've already killed bots by myself by looking for bots fighting like 4 monsters or multiple giants and champions and hitting them with it. If I could get multiple people to come with me who have it, we could go on a RAMPAGE! So I guess my question is, who thinks this idea kicks ass and does anyone know if multiple people attacking at once is possible and will stack the effect?

If server traffic is forgiving, my tactic is to get a SHITLOAD (I mean freaken mosh pit) and go over to a bot and disconnect, thus making the mobs focus attack on the player bot. It's gotta be A LOT to work or else the bot will get out of it with a simple zerk.

I was doing a jobfight the other day when someone kept on using vital spot on me. Before I knew I had 3 vital spots on me.

An even better strategy is to just walk to them and kill them.
It works every time, I swear.

But a good idea nonetheless, except having a bunch of people attack when VS is stacked, someone's bound to go red.

Have you guys seen the videos on youtube where the guy made a bot go murderer then killed him repeatedly?

By the time the guy was done the bot had no items left except a weapon and was near max murderer. ;o

That tactic only works on agro bots, and you don't see too many of those around anymore

this is nothing new but rarely used and since most bots grind green or blue mobs ( most afk bots do that) the damage mobs will do to them will be low might work extremely good on those clientless bots but probably not on other different bots and i suggest instead of wasting your time making effort to kill a bot go grind, the bot wont really notice any difference anyway just couple more hours of grinding making a bot murderer on the other hand can be effective for players since some bots don`t disconnect and just are there to be killed and drop items.

agreed and i dun find it all that useful, i was expecting a great way to kill bots but nah. u gotta mess about and all that takes time, grind time. i guess if ur bored you cud do it or you probably just have far too much time on ur hands.

you can also live the dangerous life:
hit a bot when he is fighting a giant.
hope (calculate) you don't hit him to death
let the giant finish him off

I've known about vital for a while and I have that skill myself. I'll miss that skill if it doesn't work anymore.

U want a "good" strategy? Raise a crap character on another account to lvl 30 on a seperate install on a large capacity USB drive (that works, I've done it, bought an Avixe Platinum 4GB for $37) and edit the PK2 to either make murder status curable by a pill or reroute it to another effect like poison instead of murderer. You can also change the amount of time pink lasts. Anyway, so then go around bot killing without getting murderer and hope it takes Joymax a few days to ban you. Now that's a strategy.
As for why the first one kicks ass, you got like a 5% chance of dropping something when you die anytime without a cape on, that means job suits or monsters. Trust me, I've dropped a crap shield twice and 800 destroyer rondos before. So if there's teams of ppl killing bots nonstop, eventually the bots will drop useful stuff they need then the owner gets mad
So anyway, does anyone have a really, really good other method for killing the most common type or do I gotta think up another one?

oh and lol @ the movie you can make a hell of a lot more money killing bots than monsters lol.

And finally, the best of the best strategy to stop bots: Accidentally make an update that crashes their client

K, so you do all this effort to kill a bot, that loses 2%. It just goes back and continues grinding, why you spend so much time doing it. And murder status curable by a pill? ROFLROFLROFLRORLFORLFORFL.

And you whit yours bot killing strategy...Not enough yet

Im working on my strategy.
1st. tracking bots waypoints
2nd. using a trader with therapy guarding next to city's gate or at the waypoint where they often frequent.
3rd. using another char with light thief and kill all bots to oblige them to return town and pass that waypoint.

Of course, i dont expect any legit dumb enough to be killed for the 2nd time, or someone who wants to murder me with his higher lvl thief.

Just need to get a lvl 80 blader with SOSun to do it

I like that idea! I was gonna try and take 5 stars of destruction around a bot infested area and have a little bot-pocolypse but waiting for them in one spot where they all go is smarter

Did you even read the part where I said they'd drop stuff. If ppl constantly kill bots over and over all day, that's a lot. Yes it's a minor annoyance....until the 10th time a bot gets killed and OOPS they just dropped their SOX weapons aww, too bad, poor bot lol. You just can't go on forever botting because you're only delaying the inevitable of dropping good stuff

umm whoever said the vital spot glitch didn't work, I just tested it and it does so....whatever I'm gonna go get a bunch of ppl and go on a bot killing rampage message me in game if U wanna come

well this is interesting...there's a weakness in my plan in that NOBODY ****ING HAS VITAL SPOT buuuuut apparently in the last update, they altered something so now I can stack multiple effects on the person by myself! I just hit someone and got 4 of em on em at once. If they actually add together, bots don't stand a chance!

well I killed 4 bots but I can only do it with the really weak ones and only non-bow ones and usually only when they're fighting a giant. I got a crappy lvl 26 plain shield drop off one bot though wooohooo lol.

I have vital spot, and I'm on Venice. Unfortunately, I'm not actually home. My character is most likely logged on though stalling. I'll have to join you one of these times.

One thing to be careful of, at least in my experience, is after you hit them with vital spot, do NOT click the person again (even without ALT) within the 15 seconds or so. I made that mistake once or twice (meant to click the ground near them, or another player) and ended up attacking them. I got murderer status once that way

ohhhhhh I've learned that the hard way lol. Didn't get murderer though but almost died lol. You can tell when it wears off my holding the cursor over them, since you obviously can't just watch your name turn not pink lol. PM me when you're on cuz I have a theory that parry ratio can go into the negatives which means they could get hit by some significantly higher damage. Right now alone I can only increase the amount monsters hit them for by about 1.75x which usually doesn't kill them

btw everyone, a REALLY crappy bot killing strategy that I tried is to find one using lightning nukes, attack them with some damageless ice attack or something, and they're programmed to ignore you so you go stand by a monster they're lightning nuking and it chains to you. I tried to get my pink to wear off just at the right time so they'd chain it to me when I was white but after like 10 minutes I gave up cuz it's impossible to time lol. Just not worth it for how long it takes.
