Hey, everyone.

I was wondering, from the experienced Glaviers here on the forums - would you consider them any fun?

In PvP, I heard all you do is mash down SSS and pray to get a stun, and then a Crit afterwards... if you don't, just rinse and repeat, and keep on trying until you get a stun, and then can take the enemy out.

What about in PvE? How would you guys rate the leveling speed of a Glavier, versus a Bowman? Assuming that they all had the same kind of gear - SoS, SoM, whatever.

I was just thinking of making a Glavier, is all... really wanted your opinion, before I do. I don't want to make this a flame, or anything, guys. I'm just trying to get some opinions from experienced Glaviers, or people who've played Glavies, and see what they think, is all. So no flaming, if you don't mind, and no saying that there are a million threads like this out there - I haven't seen one, as of yet.

Also, I'm not strictly talking in the sense of the Level Cap, whatever that is. Are they fun in the lower levels, as well?

Yeah glavie is fun, you do high damage without dieing fast.

If you say a glavie is boring because it spams soul spear and ghost spear, your dumb. A blader also spams kd/stab, and whatnot.

Defending before anyone has said anything, about how blader is more "fun" than a glavie, makes you sound like an idiot.
3 Glavie friends on mine always want to play on my blader, but I never want to play on thier glavie.

Well, the Bicheon Chains are definently better looking.

Its because I have seen alot posts of people saying stuff like that.

And I never said a glavie is more fun than a blader.

Basically, though, I'm just trying to decide whether to play a Bowman, or a Glavier, for my new Pure STR character that I'm farming for. Doesn't have to be Pure STR though... could be a little Hybrid, in case I'm making a 70:70, 80:80.

Personally, I would hate to be a glavie.

But, thats just me .

Yah I'd love to be a blader like you....although I got sick of their low dmg at lvl 10 at the trees lol

I'd love to be a Blader, too.
But how slow they level... I just can't handle that.

So my hat goes off to all you Bladers out there - the dedication that Bladers put in to level their character... I respect that, haha. And the payoff, IMHO, atleast, is worth it - kickass looking Chains, and the best looking weapons in game. (IMO)

It is worth it if you like to play defensive, and when every1 else hides in safe, you jump out.

If you wanna kill lots of things, blader is not for you.

do you realy mean only glaviers or also spear users? I use blad and spear and i'm happy with both... cuz the spear attakcs are wide, and I can hit more mnsters with it, but the blade attacks are funny because in the bicheon are also shield force skills... so I like both... currently I use my blade a lot, but that is because I wanted something different than allways that snake spear..
my next one will be a glavie by the way, cuz I don't like that lvl 24 spear...

I enjoy it. in pvp yes almost all you do is stuns and spins but i still like it.

I loved being a glaive, blader is just a tanker, also fun, but doesn't have my preference.

I love being a glavier atleast i don't as fast a pure Int

well, I first was a glavier, till lvl 28 then I went bow. Because I don't like the pvp with glavie. Better gear always wins


I'm using a lvl32+3 sos crit 13. I love the crits I kill glaviers after 2 crits
I can kill a lvl 38 glavier.

But my nightmare are bladers. they have the same hp as me but the but the shields blocks all my crits so it's hard and usually it turns into a potbattle.

I always refer to glaive as the pussy build.

Erm...i think we talking about: is glavie fun, not is glavie better

i was glavier, lvl44...bored at bunwangs totally, chaged to blade, and WOW

So, blade for me I love when 3-5 monsters att. you, you using 2nd book of KD, and blah, if you lucky, almost all monsters that att. you are on the ground Also lots of ranged attacks.

Chains. Mmm..those looks yummy, cant wait to unlock them

And btw, i'm plannig to crete movie with matrix effects, so bladers will be the best actor there

meh its not that bad. in 1on1 it is pretty simple but when your fighting multiple people you still need some tactics.

I know, Bladers are awesome, right? I just don't have the patience for the crazy slow leveling... but I'd still like to go with a Pure STR character... maybe a Hybrid, if I'm going to go bow.
And yeah, I'm asking if Glavie is FUN, not if it's the best build in PvP...

The Glavie Skills, I'll have to say, look awesome on the hotkeys when you're in the 7x's.

i have blader/ glaiver/ bower, they are all the same

blader - Kd stab
glaiver - SSS/ mars
bower - anti devil / devil arrow

you'il get bored of them sooner or later...

i did both (glavie, bow) until 42 and i had a blast with both but eventually went with glavie. i used bow for trading which made it easier for me to get the NPC thiefs all together rather than running towards them one at a time with a glavie. i say play with both and see which one u like better. now that i've seen the new skills (knockback, stun) for the 90 cap i kinda wish i stayed with bow....but thats just me. i'm still haveing fun being a glavier though

but: why is this only about glaviers and bladers?? what is the diferance with swords and spears?? is this about the str or about int'or nothing at all?? please, do tell!

Glaives and Blades are physical based weapons therefore are better for pure strs to use. where as spear and sword are magical based weapons therefore better for ints to use

79 now and handgrinded glavier, not farmed.
