I've found some of my friends, after months of playing, still didn't know certain basic things about the game :P So I figured I'd post some interesting tricks and stuff here. I just know I'm not gonna get ppl admitting that they didn't know anything here so just don't be a dumbass and post "I already knew all that, you're dumb!"

0. IF YOU HOLD THE CTRL KEY AND CLICK ON AN NPC'S ITEM IN A STORE, YOU BUY A MAXED OUT PILE OF IT WITH ABSOLUTELY NO CONFIRMATION! be very very very careful! I have the 5000 destryoer rondos for 2 mil to prove it (though it's all good cuz I use about 5000 every week)

1. if someone's spamming you, go into the game options and disable whispering. They'll get all confused. Also u can disable other stuff like party invites.

2. turn shadows completely off, 99% of computer can't render them without lagging, even ones with 8 series Nvidia cards

3. Vital spot can be used against someone by holding alt without turning pink, which is a great way to kill bots

4. you can move around and run in circles like a crazy person using the arrow keys :D and apparently press enter to keep running straight

5. you can get hit by a nuke for any amount of damage and not die with any fire wall skill on at any lvl. Ice wall can stop even giants from damaging you AT ALL.

6. parry ratio actually lowers damage you take and attack rating actually increases it. BR on weapons and in the spear spinning skill prevent your attacks from being blocked by a shield. Crit on shields prevent U from getting critically hit

7. fire pure int bowmen train the fastest out of any type of character

8. if you press e you can join global parties or register yours as a global party. Also, they're more than 1 page to it (just learned that multi-page thing yesterday lol)

9. guild store items are tradeable

10. lucky tablets existed at one time (shut up, disagreers, I saw one and so did several ppl)

11. you can go past the bounds of your stall by putting all @'s in the "stall manager's remarks" area

12. There's two secret ways to sneak out of DW: by climbing the mountain on the north side of the east gate, and by squeezing through between the wall and mountain directly south of the west gate
See this video for details:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=qHGyO02bBzg

13. you can use the targetting healing and curing spells on yourself

14. Joymax is owned by Yahoo Korea, which also owns a company that made Maplesoft, a nearly identical 2D game that's still around

15. there's a huuuuuuuge deer head on top of the potion shop in DW :P

16. using any elemental imbue increases the damage of nukes, not just weapon hits. Using the lightning one with the lightning nuke can supposedly hit 9 targerts at one.

17. you can auto-pot by pressing T and slide the sliders to any way you want. You can also only use MP pots and set the HP quickslot to use on a quickslot with self heal (but then ppl think you're a bot)

18. The GMs hate everyone

19. you can always stop the logout countdown by pressing the esc key

20. you can re-equip a job item before the 10 minutes is up by using a return scroll, or any other teleport

21. if one wolf is dead, you can summon another one :D

22. if you hold z, you can view the names all items on the ground around you

23. If you hover over a party member on the map, it says who they are.

24. if a guild war is tied, it will go to sudden death without notifying you. First kill of anyone in the other guild of any level wins

25. I think this was only recently added in an update but if someone's too far away for you to see their name, you can mouse over them and their name will appear.

26. the game can only run for so long before it freezes because of a memory programming problem, but if you put the cursor in the text area and alt-tab to another program, it stops the game from rendering graphics and slows down the problem significantly.

27. you can put a skill on the "M" quickslot to the left of spot one and access it from any of the 4 bars by clicking the middle wheel in. I learned that one after about 8 months :D

28. you can whisper back to someone by clicking on what they said in the chat window

Well hopefully some of you who have been playing forever and not knows some of that now know it. I bet at least half the ppl reading here didn't know #1 and #4 and #12. Oh and I'll add more as I think of them cuz I know I had more in mind but I can't remember

You can stop the log out by just click on the ground and moving not just by pressing the esc key

no it isn't. Parry, in general, lowers the damage you take overall and attack rating increases the damage you do in general. I've used 4 vital spots at once (they drop PR) on bots and they took double the damage from giants. And don't U dare demand a screenshot cuz I'm going to bed

Parry ratio makes the damage you take be lower on the base damage scale.
For example,
If the person nukes between 7000-9000 dmg on a nuke, and you have a higher parry ratio, you are more likely to take damage near 7000 as apposed to 9000.
Also, a higher AR would make it more likely to damage in the upper end of your base damage.

tips for an archer vs a sword nuker-

when he turns on castle shield, dont try to kill him cuz it will not work...
take out a shield and punch him and get some blocks in while he nukes away for 15 seconds.

after his shields over, whip out the crits :D

First of all mastachief is right and the spear spinning skill doesn't do that it gives u actuall blocks.

yes if a spear uses the spin spear move it CAN BLOCK.

but its got a BR of like ...2 lol.

so 1 out of about 20 times it will block an attack.

Number 2 is like, 50% wrong, some people can and some people can't. I've got an onboard 64MB card, and I can run detailed shadows, doesn't lag me any less. O_o

Numbers 4, 5, 8 & 16 are pretty much duh factors. Whereas 19 has never worked for me, I just click somewhere on the ground to cancel teh countdown, as someone else has pointed out.

Also - automatch only checks the parties on the page you are at. It is usually faster to join parties by going back a few pages where the party leader just put the party up.

Any form of teleport will make you able to re-equip, make it ferry, town teleporter.

Not true, I'm running a GeForce 8600 GTS Superclocked and I run the shadows on detailed just fine. But you have to realize it's not all in the graphics card that makes you lag. I very big part of it is in your processor speed. Mine is currently overclocked to 3.6 GhZ and I'm running the game on totally maxed out setting.

19. you can stop the logout countdown by pressing the esc key
or just walk don't know if buffs stop it too.

8. auto match works per page.

20 Joymax had it once fixed but created even more problems so they just changed it back to the old way

add the party invite and trade invite blocks too your list :)

you can remove your noob icon in the option menu.

Another one that took me a while to figure out. On the map you can find out who is who in your party by hovering over their dot.

Why do you always say you overclocked your cpu, and you have a 'super'clocked 8600GTS?

I run it fine @ 2.4ghz (ghz doesn't say much anymore these days.) With a e6600 core2duo. A 7900GTX and 1GB DDR2 ram.

So even without overclocking your system you should be able to do it too.
