protector if your a hybrid, its 10%+ armor but ALOT more def than garment with alot more if you buy the "upgraded" versions (e.g infantry bronz bow, hunter bronz bow, archer bronz bow)

And yeah I recommend protector, thats what I wear.

What's good for a pure int - armour, garment or protector?

for the lower levels, it doesnt matter that much. for higher levels, you will
have to choose to either go armor to have a good chance against str builds
or protector to be harder to kill by other nukers.
garment is also an option, but in that case you will be far too weak for the
str builds. what you could do is have a superb armor set and a decent garment
set if you can afford it ;)

int=Armor
Str=garment
hybrid int=armor or pro
str hybrid=out of luck pro wont help much so youll need a set of both

my experience

I'm hybrid int and i use garment, works pretty good for grinding.

And following the advice of Embodiment, a Hybrid int with a good Garment set can have huge defense against nukers and good defense against str, besides the % bonuses. He is lvl 80 and he stand damn good against str and is pure int in garms.

I would say Garment.

for pvp garment is a joke for int for grinding it can be fine but you will c the difference if you go with armor trust me its bad enough with the mp usage and 20% reduce wont help much youll waste less hp if you go armor and will rarely die

Meh the looks of garm makes it more enjoyable. I rather die once or twice (i usually kill too fast to even take dmg) more with garm than having ugly armor :P . But at the cap a very good pimped garm set can have lots of Phy. def.

Armor is a dreadful choice for ints that just want one set in my opinion. An int in garms can tank a str to some extent (depending on how good the garm set is) but an int in armor is toast against another int. Plus garms give you the speed you need.
I would choose garm / protector. I like both, leaning towards protector

I don't PVP often, so what should I choose for grinding?

Depending on the wepon if you are less than lvl 30, if you already are nuking, you can have garms i think, because you will kill before they touch you, so, no need for armor, unless you are in an aggro mob area with lots of mobs and they do physical dmg.

And what about protector?

Edit: I'm lvl 21, only have shock-lion shout.
