1. What is SRO-Euro exactly
2. What is different from SRO-China
3. The new builds and skills
4. The party system
5. Maps

1. What is SRO-Euro exactly

Euro can be seen as a large map extension with new characters to choose from.
The map will be extended to the left side of Hotan, and in the end will be
twice as big as the current map that contains only China.

Image

here a pic of what the sro world will look like after the update.

Euro will contain new characters, but will not be a seperate sro. The characters
can meet and job/grind together, but they cannot wear eachothers gear or cast
eachothers skills.

2. What is different from SRO-China

There are actually 2 big differences from SRO-China.

1. The builds.
Euro builds are all party based. That means that the characters
all have their own specialties concerning skills. On their own, it is hard for
them to survive, but in the right combination party, they are close to unstoppable.

2. The masteries.
We all know that the chinese characters have 300 mastery points to distribute.
The europese characters start off with a certain amount of mastery points and will
gain new mastery points to distribute each level. This is the reason why they all
have specialties; they dont have enough mastery points to distribute for having
more than 2 masteries on a decent level. Most builds therefor have one main mastery
and a sub mastery approx. 5 levels below it.
~ For example, you can be a cleric (healer) as main with wizard skills (nukes) as sub.

3. The parties.
As i said before, Euro is party based. I will discuss this matter further on in the guide.

3. The new builds and skills
Below is a link to the Characters & Skills big sticky. I have added the Euro skills in
this topic. I do not have enough information on the builds to make a proper guide yet.

http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewforum.php?f=4

4. The party system
The best thing imo is the party system of Europe. The different builds can party up and
grind together, getting the same amount of xp and sp every time a mob is killed. This is
the main reason why it is fun to play a healer in Euro, while in China some people got
bored of it because healing did not provide them with experience or skillpoints.

There are 2 types of monsters in Euro (not counting uniques)

1. Solo mobs
These mobs are just the regular mobs you can easily handle on your own level. You get
some xp for it on a solo grind, but almost nothing when you grind them with a party.

2. Party mobs
These mobs are the same level as the regular mobs, but they have more HP and more attack
damage. Therefor, these mobs are to be killed with a party of players. This mob will
provide the party with a lot of xp and sp.

How to recognize party mobs:

Image

The party mobs have a blue icon in front of the mob's name. If you go on a solo grind,
you want to evade these mobs.

5. Maps
Below is a link to the Guides & Tutorials big sticky. I have added the Euro maps in
this topic. I have not been able to get all maps translated yet. Still working on that.

Improvements/additions

for Q&A, look in this Euro FAQ

If there are any suggestions on this guide, or improvements/updates, i am
happy to hear them. I made this in a very short time since there were many
questions about the Euro update.

Wow this is nice :) Looks like fun! Although I think its unfair that a party of Euro chars probably will own the Chinese chars... :(

Nice, Cin. :)

Have a question though: Those Party monsters, marked by the blue icon - exactly HOW much stronger are they? Any idea?

hmm.. if i team up with my friend (im cleric, he is 2h pure str), he can kill them
with just me healing them. takes him about a full minute per mob our level
i think.

but im not sure yet. this afternoon i will count the damages we have to do
to kill em so we can make an estimation :)

I've read somewhere that they have 8x the HP of a normal mob. But they do a bit more dmg that's why it's difficult to kill them alone...

that could be very much true. takes us a bit more than a minute to kill a
partymob of which it takes us about 5 seconds to kill the solo version of it.

so probably 8x hp could be true, and off course more defense.

but i will check that this afternoon.
otherwise kill in 5 seconds

Cool. Sounds very interesting. I'll take your word for it, until I can try it out for myself. :)
Anybody know about the grind rate for Euro Characters? If they're grinding efficiently (in a party with the right members), any idea if they would level faster, or slower than a Chinese guy grinding efficiently as well?

for me thats hard to say since in isro i was mostly busy with quests while
grinding so i dont really know my xp rate there.. but im guessin its about
similar, depending on how good the party is that you are in.

Yeah, actually, now that I think about it, it probably is. People are always complaining that Euro Characters are so damn powerful, and that Euro will own Chinese, but I don't JM is THAT stupid to unbalance the game like that. They probably won't unbalance the game by making Euro characters level faster as well. The only thing I'm worried about for Euro is, what if you don't get to play that much a day? Finding a party will take up quite a large fraction of that time, then.

What do you mean? Each has their own unique advantages. No race is better, just as no build is better either.

no it will not be like that.

it will be isro (international) and the map we have will just be bigger with
new monsters and new characters.

the europe part will be up in July and you will probably have to patch it
like any normal patch, or download it as a manual patch from the main
site. they have been doing europe patches bit by bit already, but idk how
much more needs to be patched for us to play it.

I've got a question about those party mobs. Are they only for european chars or Will chinese chars have them too? I think I've read that the party system is the same for both chars.

Any mob will have a party version, regardless the place where they are, the only limits are these:

Levels:
1-10 No party mobs
10-20 Party "General" mobs (Normal ones)
20-30 Party "Champion" mobs (Besides the normal ones, they can spawn party champs)
30-80 Party "Giant" mobs (Besides the General and Champion they can spawn party giants with 80x the HP of a normal mob, if i'm not mistaken [Party mob = 8x HP of normal; Giant 10x HP of normal; so, (10)(8 )=80 which means... they will be tough :D ])
