Well I have two accounts that I buy silk for and buy silk for a friend as a third... and I have yet to get banned so I say nope...

However you can get banned by charging back the money you spent on silk...

Maybe, but I think that the person who was banned for the dual account silk buying had indeed charged back on the second account...

I've been using my paypal for three accounts for a very long time now...

You won't get banned, money is money to them no matter what account it's from as long as you aren't charging back. I've used my paypal on numerous friends accounts and never had a problem (although the way JM words things make it sound like there would be)

Except that I think they recently limited the number of SRO accounts associated with a single PayPal account to 3. Maybe I didn't understand it correctly but that's what I thought it said. And I use PayPal on two accounts.

Here is the notice:

http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=32423

And the description of the process:

- This system that will match 3 Silkroad accounts (accounts that have attempted to make payments for the first time) and 3 PayPal accounts as a bundle, and will not allow payments to be processed if the payments are processed from any other information that is not in the bundle.
- As payments will not be processed from accounts that are not in the bundle, only 3 Silkroad and 3 PayPal accounts can use our payment service.

Still not sure what any of that means but apparently it doesn't matter.
