If you want to be strong 1v1.. definitely go Chinese. Sure, 8x wizards can 2-nuke 8x glaivers in garms. Sure, 8x rogues can 1-2 skill 8x nukers without block. But INT vs INT.. it's whoever gets the first damage off wins. Rogues can be devastating, but also die quickly with the -75% defense buff. One nuke can pretty much kill a rogue.
I wanted to be d-rogue earlier due to its rogue-specific passives (speed increase in stealth to counter speed decrease by stealth, increased damage in stealth). But.. it also means you'll have to be up-close-and-personal with your enemy. Against a glaiver, this is deadly. One stun and you're out of commission. Plus, daggers only have stun.
Meanwhile.. xbow has KD and KB, which combines the ghost spear series with the annoying blader series. I haven't personally seen 90 rogues in action.. but from what I've seen on YouTube, the range really helps a lot. I mean... there's a skill that adds 7.0m to your attack range (18.0 base + 2.0-4.0 passive + 7.0 skill = 27.0-31.0m for a high-damage attack). There's also the 15.0m one which isn't really helpful in PvP but good for luring mobs. Add the knockdown skill, the Lv 50 double-knockback skill, and you're in for one hell of a PvP session trying to get shots off.
Going off-topic a bit... this reminds me. I was watching an 8x PvP between an INT nuker and an archer. The nuker could 3- or 4-nuke the archer... but the archer's arrow combos ALWAYS knocked back at least once. So.. way to go archers for being un-nerfed
