Just alot of negativity ya get from some people toward this "sensitive" topic. When its really just too simple. PMing the person won't always help. In my wife's case, she put me on trace and went afk. So if you PMed her, you wouldn't get a response and you would turn around and report her. Thats why joymax does their own investigations, and would come on and check and see if the person is really botting or if it was just mistaken identity of a botter.
I guess you haven't seen the screenshot of one of the GMs, I think Gargamel, coming on to PM a botter to "investigate". I think the player's name was Potato or something?? The GM was like I guess you're not botting since you're here. Have a nice day.
In the meantime, you can see the bot software's warnings telling the player to turn off the bot because a GM is near..... Yes, Joymax does their investigations. Maybe they've gotten better than they were when that screenshot was taken, I don't know.

Sent to Joymax. Never got banned because he bought a PT. Same with about a dozen other non-goldbots reported. Then again, Joymax won't even ban the goldbots I report, so...

ok... So we already know this doesnt work, You can report all you want.
The calls go unheard.
I think Blackfox is just annoyed at seeing threads like this all the time
Good work at trying and trying to get others to, but its been tried befor countless times.
As many have said, live with it or leave. sad but true
Edit: If you dont want people posting opposition to what you want to do. Pm a mod and get them to lock your post, just have people pm you instead.

How about someone report themselves and see how long it takes for a GM to come visit you.

Exactly.
no silk + no bot = ban (definitely)
Why bother they pull names out of the hat check to see if they buy silk and if they don't they ban them.

PR0METHEUS wrote: BlackFox wrote: They SS dont poofe annything ...They dont know if you edit the pic or not ..And you cant say They B** becose off a pict . I agree a screenshot or 5 screens don't prove anything, even ones of the character humping a wall. The other day, my wife went into trace mode to follow me around hotan. So I ran between two buildings and around the corner. Her character got stuck on the side of the building and started "humping" it as I continued to walk away. It continued to do so until I came back to the point where she could trace me properly. Perhaps in that time, another player might have seen her, took some screenshots and sent in a report to Joymax. Just because a player is "humping" something doesn't mean they're botting. That situation is a bit less likely to happen out on a grind, but I'm just saying, a few screenshots won't prove anything. Video may be better perhaps...
lucky and I like the way Blackfox talks lol,

I dunno if there is anything that can proof that someone is actually a bot...later they might say they were inactive and just clicked the Char. to move and went to the bathroom or something so there is no 100% hard evidence that someone is botting IMO.
Unless they were some company bots....in that case it wouldnt matter if a bot was banned they would make 5 more...
Pretty pessimistic i know...
The solution must come from the game itself to be anti-bottish IMO

I'm tempted to do that, just to see if I EVER get a visit from a GM.
