Yeah, That just means that there will be a lot of high levels jobbing/waring/pvping for 2 days non-stop. The servers will still be crowded and grind areas empty. New friendships will be made and enemies will hate each other more. A few legit players will probably get an sosun here and there because of the excess amount of monsters.

After the two days all the botters go back to botting.

When there new security, theres always new ways to hack. Everything has a weak point. Everything. So yes there will be day or so free of bots, but those over worked and I bet paid people make bot programs for everyone so gaming can be once again flipped up.

Heehehehe I find it funny, but then again is annoying as hell when you know you work hard for 8-9 days to reach a certain lvl, when some jerk does double the lvl you make in the same time. Messed up eh?

Anyways 2-3 free bot days will be fun, but there will always be a chaos.

Because A- Bot makers would make bots that automatically work around it. Trust me, I've seen 3rd Party Programs before that can actually fix themselves after the client is updated. B- This would require you to either patch or download a new client EVERY SINGLE DAY. Apart from being a huge annoyance on the playerbase, this would kill JM's servers. The server space and bandwidth that would take would take could probably easily support another few player servers C- This is a huge demand on programmers. They basically have to break the game in a new way every day, without making it not work.

I still think Joymax could do something similar to RSA authentication. Identify and authenticate the server and client (as well as the actual user). Use public key cryptography to have the server send some kind of packet to the client maybe every 15 minutes. The client would need to have the appropriate keys to decrypt the packet and encrypt a response. With a strong enough key, it should work pretty good.

The bot maker would have to get ahold of the actual keys and the encryption algorithm used. Maybe the client could encrypt a response based on a hash of the client files because the bot software modifies the client (I think) and so the hash would be different.

You know, I just realized how lame your sig is.

I actually have a theory on this.

Now this is an if - IF they don't raise the server capacity from 3000, then it is very likely there will be virtually NO gold bots in europe for a very economical reason. Why spend time on coding a goldbot for euro? It makes no sense, and besides, since the cap isn't raised for the server there will be more room for gold bots in china.

So my hypothesis is that china will be crawling with gold bots while euro will have plain user bots. Hurray for chinese characters!

Damn. I never thought about that - going to make it especially hard for us that are going to be sticking with Chinese.
Just something to think about on that subject, though - on the lower levels, there aren't so many Bots as when you get to a higher level. Bunwangs at L42 or so are a good example with that, as they're absolutely crawling with Bots, both gold and user. But since the Euro Mobs merge with the Chinese Mobs at Hotan from L40 and on, maybe it won't be so noticeable? Most of the Bots will be Chinese, but both races will have their fair share.

I think it's obvious Joymax aren't running the bots.

People say they don't fix it as well because it brings money to there business, but there not going to be running there own bots. Infact I think it's againist the law if Silkroad said bots are not allowed
