i came up with this real cool

3 man rogue formation thieve party tactic, based of

of the zulu impi tactics

and IMHO opinion i think its a dirty thieve's tactic.

whilst my lit bro says hunters can use it 2

the tactic goes like this :

this is an example based of pure imagination and reading. this is the worst case scenario

1] 3 rogues 1 wizard, builds like this =

1 rogue dagger-s/s lvl 80
2 rogue xbow lvl 80
1 wizard - cleric lvl 80

vs an 8 man party of chinese traders/hunters lvl 80

s/s rogue dagger goes stealth activates DD and speed boost kills as many hunter as possible

2 rogue xbow go stealth activate XXB and snipe from the sides

wizard - goes stealth and sets traps

- chinese panic as people die

- one of them activates the fire skill to see invis people

- the s/s rogue daggers is spotted

- turn off DD, weapon swap now s/s

- tank damage

- traders try to escape as hunters buy time

- xbows snipe transports

- traders fall into wiz trap

- transports are killed

- rogue snipes other hunters

- wizard is stealth within range of tanking s/s and heals/buffs

wiz unstealths and OHKOs the remaining chinese

what do you think

could a hunter do this to thieves?

The lvl cap for Euro is 60?

So they stand no chance for the mean time.

Also, u make it seem like its impossible for the chinese chars to survive the onslaught. IMO a 80 full str blader with a high br can take alot more than you think.

you wouldnt even really need rogues, the wizard has lv 60 skill that can make everyone in the party invisible.. just use a party of wizards, all invisible, then 8 20m range AOE earth attacks all at the same time. the chinese are dead before they can pot.

I don't see a 3/4/ or even 5 person party of capped euros beating a party of 8 capped chinese at all >.>, definatly not one without a cleric.

you cant move, the tactic requires movement, because one of the rogues is s/s

they have a cleric,

wizard cleric

plus the wizard can OHKO at the cap,

your probadly saying how do you know this.

well if a xbow can hit 53k (OHKO)

just imagine the horror the wizard can deal with an AoE earth nuke :twisted:

another thing your not noticing is they wont see it coming until,

some1 uses chinese descry, by that time the s/s rogue daggers will be switching weapons and doing KD KB TANK, while the traders fall for the wiz trap, and thier transports r sniped. this leaves 2-5 hunters (depending on the amount of traders) to "attempt" to kill this tanker. while thier distracted rougue with xbow switch to dagger and use that skill that makes you atk only that person that used the skill; while this happens the wiz de-stealths and use AoE earth Nuke

You can't use skills while invisible ... As soon as you try to use a skill on someone, you become visible again.

You can't use skills while invisible ... As soon as you try to use a skill on someone, you become visible again.


that only applys to wizards rogues CAN use skills while invis.
thats why the wizard goes unstealth, but the others remain hidden

could work. after level 40 theres no 1 star protector remember. if your higher they stand NO CHANCE. great idea. just needs to be used on lower levels. and wont the rouge dagger kinda be commiting suicide? :)

thats why hes s/s rogue dagger

his sub class is warrior shield and sword.
has the highest def in the game, the chinese will barely hurt him.
so while he tanks, the other chinese will be distracted, yes there is a rogue skill that distracts.

i dont like preying on the weak it makes me feel weak :(

That's a good tactic, for theivies but the only problem would to get your guys to stick to the plan.

the lvl cap on NPC available gear is 58. All gear there out must be found/traded, caps 80. Rogues cant go s/s either. Wizard/cleric cant stealth

oh and once rogues hits someone they are visible, you dont thnk they stay invisible for a minute and a half do you even while attacking...

wizard can go stealth, and go to hotan and look at the 7th and 8th deg euro gear,

and finally rogue can go s/s cause thats his subclass. ever heard of a subclass?

For this plan you need to find 2-5 idiots as hunters.

I dont see why they should panic, you know euro chars can be inviseble, you also know the last book of phantom walk gives you 22m i believe. Wich means somebody can catch up to you pretty darn fast if youre guarding a transport.

Both makes the hunters pay attention, a crosbower deals a lot of damage, but cant take any damage at all, atleast not from what I have seen.

A thiefing party that is this organised will still have a hard time killing a well organised hunting party, if you have 2 transports and 2 hunters and 4 hunters backing them up from a distance, the transports and 1 -2 hunters might die, but the thiefs will be killed by the remaining hunters.

There are loads of nice thiefing strategies, none of them are unbeatable.

Mine is; getting 8 fully farmed level 80 sosun bowers and knockback/stun/crit the feck out everything that moves. I am still working on it though ^^

thats why i said worst case scenario (worst case scenario for traders is thier hunters baboons)

best case would be equal to all out war
i dont need war XD

my tactic has 1 major flaw
extreme crossbow
and pure int = barely any hp, if a battle drags on too long, OR the s/s rogue dies its over

If the hunters are pretty smart i think they would hit the wizard 1st..

So imo the counter for this is:

1. hunters hit wizard and ignore/tank dagger hits = fast kill
2. move on to dagger who will have no heals but had time to switch to s/s..so would take some time..but will eventually get killed.
3. pwn the bows

In the process the chinese party can lose 1 or two but i would imagine if the party got 8 players at least 2 of them must have got res and whoever got it must be well guarded.

The Rogue skill isnt INVISIBLITY ! Its Stealth, so right after you`v bean hit by AOE, or Use skill or no mater what... that can dmg you and you can dmg someone your "invisible" thing its off :D

BUT !
Aways its nice to get the first hit, if its crit.. even if its not, the other person for SURE will panic and the first 5-6 secs will dont know what to do... (I have 70 level Rogue in World Of Warcraft were the mechanics of the stealth is the same, and peaople aways panic when I ambush them ) even the other members will panic even they could not see that you are there and attack some one of the party :D

And 3-4 even 5 Rogues are... too much but will be strong enough to kill at least 5 man with out big dmg taken lol...
