does any1 think that the future protectors feature animals from the chinese zodiac becase that's what it seem's like and I concluded this because I looked at all the drawings on the homepage and and alot of them featured animals from the chinese zodiac,and since we already know that 9th degree features the boar and 10th degree features the ox. so what do u think about it? from 9th-15th degree will the protectors will feature different animals from the Chinese Zodiac. I think that 11th degree will feature the Ram but I dunno about the other protectors

I know that because the chinese writing on the 7th degree protector female tasset (legs) means "Monkey (of the zodiac)". Other than that, I can only assume depending on the equipment names.

the ram is already used on the lvl 32+ protector (the yellow ones) i think.
The visible hat clearly looks like a ram. I'll try to find one of those hats and screen it

In the case of the Chinese, 12 spirits of the land, animals, and their images are used on the equipment and for each have uniqueness to them. In the case of the Europeans, the Imperial imagery of 12 constellations differentiates the equipment.

the 12 animals they are refering to are the Chinese zodiac

i don't know them all but i think

3D= Rooster
4D= ram/sheep
5D=Snake
6D=Dragon
7D= Moneky (didn't know that before)
8D=Horse
9D=Boar
10D=Ox

anyone figure out what 1D and 2D are and then we'll be able to figure out what 11D and 12D are :D

This is probably a hint that the max cap will go to 120, not 150.

We're missing Rat, Rabbit, Dog, Tiger

Im going to say

1D=Rat
2D=Rabbit ( the armor helmet kinda looks like it has bunny ears)

so the remaining sets should be based of the Dog and the Tiger.....should be awsome

I still think 6D and 5D armors both represent the snake. Python Armor, Hard Scale armor.

I remember reading somewhere that SRO said the 1D-4D (or something) are based on actual items and weapons of the time, and the rest are based on fantasy.

Is this correct?

As far as weapons go...
Degree - Level
1 - 1
2 - 8
3 - 16
4 - 24
5 - 32
6 - 42
7 - 52
8 - 64
9 - 76
10 - 88
11 - 100 or 102?
12 - 112 or 114?
13 - 124 or 130?
14 - 136 or 146?

LOL, I thought there was a pattern in there. If I was wrong in the 9th degree one, then im wrong with the rest haha.

Edit: Maybe this one is the right one.........

Starting at 9

9 - 75
10 - 88
11 - 101
12 - 115
13 - 130
14 - 145

9d is 76, which can be proven. Guessing by the pattern of 2nd and 3rd tier 9d, which is lvl 80 and 85 that there would be a 5 lvl gap between 9d third tier and 10d first tier so my guess is 10d will go 90, 95, 100. Yet again I'm speaking out of theorycraft and basing all that I'm saying on past paterns of equipment.

yeah but 2 ppl up thee said that the writing on the armor says monkey...of course thats not really THAT credible so i guess we could replace it but since we don't know its better to just leave it up in the air i guess.....the thing on the armor shoulder pad does look more like a tiger than a monkey though

This is the real grid I believe:

1D - 1
2D - 8
3D - 16
4D - 24
5D - 32
6D - 42
7D - 52
8D - 64
9D - 76
10D - 88/90
11D - 102/104/106
12D - 122/124/126

I don't think there's a 13D.

[EDIT:] This might be it:

1D - 1
2D - 8
3D - 16
4D - 24
5D - 32
6D - 42
7D - 52
8D - 64
9D - 76
10D - 88
11D - 102
12D - 116
13D - 132

... Maybe.

I would not trust Joymax's translation regarding equipment names.

Nope if you look at 4th degree protector you can clearly tell that it's based on ram.

And so its goes that the zodia for Chinese gear is a mixed? Key: Observe the "Hat" and "Shoulder" pattern, follow by the "Torso" with "Legs", and finally the "Hands" and "Feet"...

D1 Rat (Parts)
D2 Rabbit (Parts) <= Joymax throws in Hare elements into it... the "ears" are the "feeders"
D3 Rooster (Parts)
D4 Sheep (Parts)
D5 Dragon (Parts)
=> Arm = Dragon "Scales", Prot = Dragon "Claw", Gar = Dragon "Fire"
=> Some artists associate Dragon with snakes as "same family", maybe thats why D5 Prot has "Python" for its name.
D6 Snake (Parts)
D7 Tiger (PArts)
D8 Horse (Parts) <= it seems that Joymax merge it with Pegasus... wings (prot)...
D9 Pig (PArts) <= Joymax transform it into a Boar...
D10 Ox (Parts)

Whats left are the Dog (Wolves mix?) and Monkey (I wonder what mix we going to find here... Apeman or Gorilla? or maybe KING KONG?)? for D11 and D12? [Since Joymax mentioned there will only be 12 Degrees for items]

I know that 6D is based of Dragon and 5D is based of snake....

Just look at 5D armor and Protector the Armor has snake bone themes and the protector clearly has Snake Skin theme...

and 6D has dragons all over it everything from the helmet to the chest piece

and this is basically a repeat of everything i posted anyway :roll:

U have monkey for yr 7D, after some fast compliation, taht is a mistake, Tiger is D7 theme. :wink:

Anyway, doesnt matter much, I only thinking of some KING KONG outfit for D12 Armour (most probably) and furry (read: HAIRY) D12 Garments for the chinese... that would be awesome :twisted:
