Anyone experienced lately a slight or somewhat stronger recession?
Coz our clan (staller/trader ninjas) saw a two-dip recession both in demand of popular wares like wind2/4, water4/6, d8 int stones and alike.
The wind4 exhcange in Hotan suddenly dropped, below even before-eu prices on tuesday. First sings of recession in demand are on monday, as all d8 int stones gone down to 1.1kk from 1.5-1.6kk prices. But before this all d3 som/sun bow prices dropped. They couldnt be sold for even 22kk (a full blue +3 d3 som bow is over 30kk).

Any experiences on other servers?

I'm thinking it's expected for the demand to fall after the release and the continuation of Euro. Any sharper changes in the demand may just be cause by random variations. Seeing how rare SOM/SOS farming bows are, 1 more drop of it might just change the price by the slightest amount.

i went to jangang to lvl a hybrid i made a while back that havn't played in a while and jangang was like a ghost town, like 6 stalls in the square and total of 20 people around all the stores, you go to const on the other hand its pretty packed, chinese items aren't in right now, and may be a while before they are valued the same again, how ever euro items are pretty hot sellers, expessially the hats, as for elements i think its because alot of players went to go make a euro so they arn't needing very many elements yet, just wait for the average non power lvling europe to get caught up with china and such demands may be back

Why would inflation cause a recession? And we have interest rates?

We can see this as a positive side for all those who want to stick to chinese characters. Int stones (8D) are cheaper and lvl. 16 farming bows are too. I could say that bows are very cheap now for two reasons. Less chinese characters since some are Euro. and because there is party mobs so farming can become inefficient.

Either way...it can become a good thing or a bad thing. If you like to sell things...it's a bad side...if you purchase things and NPC items..then you can afford more things...

Hmmm well, low degree chinese stuff was supposed to go down in price after the update. Stronghold was considerably more quiet during the first few weeks. Not so many new chinese chars.
Their price will go back up somewhat, but 30 mil is a reach.
I've sold out my chinese stuff before the update, and now im skipping som 16 bows even at 12-15m, unless they have decent stats. I would have grabbed them before update, but now the 3-5m of profit they can bring arent worth all the time and hazzle.

If you havent done it yet, check out euro sox market. its way more fun and has so much more energy at the moment.......

As to the stone prices... hehe thats because im back with my cheap stones :) jk
But seriously, d7-d8 stones are often so overpriced. You can make a nice profit selling d8 int for 1.1-1.3m. And why not? If you can sell way cheaper than the market price, sell fast, make nice profit, make another round of stones, sell cheap and fast again, and make nice profit again... then in the end you will probably make more gold per day than those selling them for 1.6m+.
There's always been number of alchemists in Eldorado who prefer "cheap and often" over "slow, but expensive". But i dont see a recession in prices here, me and some other people were selling int 8 for 1.1-.13, stamina 8 for 1.1-1.4 for months... maybe these cheap stones are simply more obvious now with the stall network; previously we would sell them out before most people notice. Now everyone checking stall net. for degree 8 stones can see them. I still see plenty of expensive stones though, as previously.

if your under lvl 40 i suggest you go grind in euro territory, besides the spwns rate being better you will get tons of drops, of things you can actually turn around and sell fairly quick... I did tht with my chinese character, I was farming so I didnt really need chinese gear that desperatly , but it worked out well I made alot a gold :D

To Pizza:

Yeah...i was thinking about the fast and slow part of the d8 stone trading, but... the recession came handy for me anyway. Got 60 d8 int tab for 350k each :)

The next thing is the 1kk price for int stone:
This is the worst thing i can see on the market. Not for me... but for the nubface who stalls them. Coz the average price of a tab is like 500-700k each. The cost to make 1 stone is around 450-550k.... so... in average, he stalls a stone for 1kk what will cost to him more than 1.1-1.2kk, so he loses gold instead of getting it.

The bad thing is, my whole fortune is in sos/som/sun weapons. So the case seems to be a loss for me, but still, i will have like 150kk left in items.

To all:

I think the failure was the capacity enhancing thing. So instead of 3k slot we have 9k for players(and botters) and for all server is this a bit too much.
Coz jm does not have the popularity to fill all these free slots now and this manifests in decreasing demands for weapons etc.

So.... i guess, ill be out to farm like 100k sp for my char :D
And still, i hope ppl dont leave this game but come to sro....
Recession is bad ad for any corporation. IMO.
