I'm a lvl 38 Hybrid Str Archer

My Masteries are: Cold lvl 36, Bow lvl 37, Fire lvl 33, Light lvl 24, and Force lvl 34

Yes i know. 5 masteries. By level 60 i wouldnt be able to level them up anymore. Plus it would take a ton of SP.

I was going to delevel my light to zero, and keep leveling up force, but I've done a bit of pvp, and realized that grass/phantom walk is essential. What do you guys think i should do?

It seems like these are my options ( assuming i'm keeping force)

Option one: De-level Fire. I'm using Ice as my Imbue, so the only thing in fire that i use is the Phys attack buff and passive. I would lose a really good passive and buff.

Option two: De-level Light. No grass/phantom walk here. I don't really find the buffs or passive in the light mastery tree to be essential.

Option three: De-level Cold. I lose my imbue, a defense buff, and a defense passive.

What I'm leaning towards now is de-leveling fire, and leveling up light. I really like the cold imbue for pve (and pvp at the lower levels), but since most poeple are immune at higher levels i was thinking i could also level up the light imbue for pvp.

What would you guys do? (please also state why)

Start a new char. Hybrid Bow Str sucks

Nope. It doesnt suck at all.

I've been Killing everyone my level, and a couple levels above. Been KSing ints at blood death flowers. People in my guild have been asking me why i hit so hard. I'll stick with Hybrid STR.

And for the record my gear isn't insanly good. Just a level 35+5 bow with average white stats and a few blues.

Edit: Hybrid type 2:1. Im not quite their yet, because for the first 28ish lvls i went pure str.

Ok if your hybrid STR...well you're gonna need both the PHYS and MAG buffs to provide some "OOMPH!" to your damage later on...unless you wanna be a euro killer...then keep Ice and delvl fire...euros really don't have much of a defense against ice...

Anyways. Lets not turn this into a hybrid/pure debate.

what you need to do is get rid of force... it won't help at all.

light imbue is a good idea, i have both fire and light.

Fire hits harder on pve
Light crits harder on pvp

The Parry reduction and bows already high AR bonus make them hit harder if the target is shocked...

but mobs get shocked too right

yep, as do players...you can tell they are under "shocked" status if they are yellow with little electrical currents bouncing around them...

I could do that, but harmony therapy is rather usefull for powerleveling friends and rez helps for when im hunting and the trader dies.

i know what's shocked, but i meant i still do lower damage compared to fire even though the mob is shocked.

yea, the lightning's effect(wich is lowing ur parry ratio,not sure) barely affects the damage u do at all

I be leaning even more towards de-leveling fire and dual imbueing ice/light.

I'll wait for a few more poeple to post then ill decide.

maybe 80 pacheon, fire, light and 60 cold. Also, 0 force.

Get rid of force. I did. unless you want to play mother to every dead HL noob. As for ressing in trade try to find a Cleric to follow your party.

do you have vital spot muscle? if you do you should use it when pve and that + lightning's shock effect= crit almost everytime.

Well, ive decided not to de level cold, It allowed me to kill a thief at least 4 levels higher than me (all i know is that he had a 6th degree wep)

What ratio hybrid str are you, or how many levels of int did you add?

Also, yeah ditto on the removing light. You'll be screwed when you don't have grass walk unless you want to keep buying/making those drug of wind things.
