I know that now thieves have hunters spawn in on them...but someone made a post talking about "evil" hunters...hunters that would attack normal players...could this mean that hunters also attack the nearest caravan as thieves once attacked the nearest caravan (of traders).

not sure if it works though since, hunters will go after thieves before traders or will they?...dunno

lemme know if anyone tries it.

Well I haven't jobbed yet after the Euro update...so you can't pop? How do you kill those pesky 1*'s? Are they attackable now?

I have 0 respect for anyone who ever did that. its so frustrating when your just tryin to make a little cash to get some decent gear and then some asshole 60+ theif walk up next to you and have their theives AOE pop you in one hit.

Anyone who ever did that seriously should just quit playing this game and go hang themselves

What you do now to 1* pop is Freeze the low level trader over and over going pink name untill he runs out of pills, Then he cant fight off his own thiefs. Have another partner drag lots of party mobs onto him as well, He soon gets overwhelmed by his own thiefs and mobs and dies or runs out of pots.

Mini guide on how to 1* pop post euro update:

1. Be a badass
2. Get a badass friend trader to help you (s/he's thief spawn will do you know what) ~ then kill former friend and still from him/her too.
3. Use local monsters, drag them to your victim and phantom out. Keep doing this and you will overwhelm them. Works best on euro victims, alone, and you are in a party, so use party mobs.
4. Using hunter npc is harder. Better if you work with another thief.
5. Ask a friend to murder them.

Theres my quick guide in becoming a badass thief.

u cant pop traders with hunter lighting. i tried. Splashes dont reach traders . Traders imune against thiefs 1 star below 40.

Seriously the only difference between badass and ass is how good you are, and I dont think anyone that kills people that cant defend themselves to take their stuff could really be called badass...hmm let me think, beats up people too weak to defend themselves and then takes things, sounds more like a bully to me. So to go over your previous list in light of this new information.

(Hey if you are prevented by the rules of the game by doing something properly why not just drag your victim into some dark back ally where no one will see and beat the crap outta him there)

well ther is a lvl 80 trader on my server that stays near top of east ferry jangan with one piece of trade and when a 1* comes by he picks the trade up and follows the trader and pops him

1* popping can still be done, though with more difficulty than before (and some teamwork involved). I'm only stating this so traders are more aware. On Hercules, I'm a hunter. Thats right. I change my profession from being an expert thief into a hunter.

me and some guildies were thiefing, we saw a 1star they tried to pop em it didn't work they were like : wtf ? lol

With me it was either pop or just get bored for hours till you can finally find a trader with some balls. It was far from fun.. just needed to compensate the potz you use.

all the high-lvl noobs doing just 1star all day.. but they fixed it now. So there are plenty of traders to get, ppl who still do 1*-pop.. are a little sad imo. But apperently ppl really like popping or something. Although i really don't see the fun in it.

meh it really is a cycle...when i was 20 i bitched about high levels popping me...now i have to hear all you noobs bitch about it.
Frankly its tons of fun to do...and the fact that it screws you over while i'm doing it is just an added bonus (hehe j/k).
But seriously, do you think high levels popped you for the money? seriously you pay 20k and you bitch about getting popped. The reason we popped is because it was tons of fun, heck before the update there wasn't even a bonus to leveling your thief up. When/if you reach a higher level then you can decide for yourself whether it is the right thing to do.
On top of aaaallllll that, besides you pussies running one stars there are no other traders anyway...sure the lvl 80 run their 5 stars and there are a few union runs (which i gladly raped), but on the whole one stars make up most of my thieving adventures

i've actually met some decent respectable theives, as odd as that sounds, but trying to cheat the system is kinda lame, me when i trade i always do more then 1 star, its no fun other wise,

the only reason every one was doing 1 star before europe is only the theives faults, they over theived areas, making it impossible unless you knew a high lvl hunter, and back before the update you couldn't hire a high lvl hunter because they'd just log out and then put on the theif suit and you'd have a high lvl theif, by over theving too many people got used to doing 1 stars, now we have soom room to breathe, and the fact 1 stars arn't worth the gold you get for the time you go after,

besides why would you want to rob a 1 star, they are 1 star for a reason = low profit, i still think too many people doing 1 stars after update kinda makes the theif job boring,

but don't be an asshole, its a game, they are meant to be enjoyed, be a theif it doesn't matter trading wouldn't be any fun if there wasn't any theives to worry about, but just don't be an asshole about it
