i love being a wiz that can one shot mobs a few lvls higher than me but i hate being 1/2 shotted

i think my best record for most death in one sitting was 23 :roll:

im hovering at 70-80% lvl 35 :banghead:

With great power comes great responsibility.

Try grinding with a party. Generally with a party you wont need to use life control either, so its much easier to stay alive.

And if your still dying, get a subclass in warrior (heavy armor) or rogue/cleric so you can wear light armor

If you're gonna solo with a wizard always fight at least 2-3 lvls below your level. Carry vigors and use them against giants, pt mobs etc. It's much more effective due to the lack of deaths

That's the life of a wizard. Kill fast, die fast.

I took a cleric sub. If I actually live through the first hard shot, I switch to rod & heal myself, then equip shield and do the pot dance (run around with mobs chasing til pots kick in or or until get enough distance to heal myself again).

As a wizard, I've used more zerks for defense than offense, lol. Pretty handy to get away from pursuing mobs.

LOL at avatar and btw light armor is awesome, take the cleric sub class, not rogue because you get the bonus for phy and magic defence.

Noooo. As a wizard when I solo I fight mobs of 3 levels above me and I just avoid giants and party mobs. I don't use life control, but I can still 2 shot the mobs.
And against champions I just get them fear me first and then fire blow them to death. ^^

so have cleric as sub or rogue for light armor? for now i have bard as sub for tele and speed buff at lvl 22.

and yes i for the most part i solo since other members don't come in till late a t night :roll:

but even in a party, mobs tend to be attracted to me cause of my AOE which makes me a punching bag for the group :banghead:

so when i do get gangbanged i run around like a headless chicken try to get away as faaaaaaar as possible

bard sub with noise and speed on a wiz is the fastest lvling euro build im pretty sure for soloing. With no agro just pick your mobs you fight wisely and keep avoiding giants and prty's like your already doing, and have life control on and one hit.

I initially had warrior sub with heavy armor and switched to bard cause it is way better. Heavy armor might allow an extra couple hits but if you use bard's agro you wont get hit before you hit except for giants/champs. Also the bards speed is a great survival tool as well as it allows you to outrun mobs that are after you.

Personally i found bard increased my leveling speed over 50% from my warrior sub. If you want to grind with life control off grind at your lvl and one hit. The key to being a fast lvler is fighting the strongest possible mob u kill in 1 hit.

against a Wiz its pretty much who gets the first hit that claims victor

Alternatively, play only when your guild/union is most active so its easier to be in a pt.

uh just stick to normal mobs.... u know 90% of a player's xp comes from them anyways, champs and giants and others only really account for like 10% of the total xp gained. and kill things that are always just 1 hit and you should be fine^^

Especially if you use the ice spell first. The extra time you get from frozen/frostbitten status comes in handy.

thats what i do if ther is party mobs near wher i lvl
i fire a ice nuke if it doesnt freeze it i run and then fire another, if it freezes i blast lots of nukes at it
